Kathy, when my dh has the day off but I am working and have my dc children here, he truly does mess up my whole routine!

Yesterday ended up being a good day. After work I had to get my car inspected and the oil changed and it passed inspection and the whole works cost less than expected. And I was able to get home before the snow started.

Today so far is going well. The dc children are playing nicely. I have the Electrolux guy coming at noon to do the annual check of my vacuum cleaner and replace the beater bar that I requested. That will probably mess up the dc children's nap time but oh well. Another snow storm expected tomorrow but I have already bought groceries and don't need to go anywhere. I will run my errands tonight after work so can stay home during the storm!

Today is a beautiful sunny saturday, slept in till 7am and got stuck into the washing, I'm looking for my bread recipes to make some savoury scroll/pinwheel rolls to freeze for school lunch boxes next week ..... otherwise it's a restful weekend.

I'm hoping to catch up with ds1 who it gets harder to catch up with the longer he's out of home but he has mail to pick up

So hot and humid, the rain from the last couple of weeks has now stopped and yesterday and today are soooo humid, I live to go shopping in the air con LOL

Schools back, most teachers for Cameron he likes, so that's a good thing and the final year of school progresses.

I went shopping with my mum yesterday and we had lunch out, that was nice. Curves is good it has air con, I've got my muscles back, whoo hoo

How was your day?

So far this has been a good week. My daycare children have been awesome, my dentist appointment went well (just a cleaning), I have gotten a few annoying chores done, you know, the ones you keep putting off until they annoy you so much you do them? Have a physical tomorrow so not looking forward to that but then the weekend is almost here so something to look forward to. I am hoping the second part of the week goes as well as the first part.

Just discover this thread out..
Sharon, sooo sorry to hear about Buck.. I know this is a strain on you with concern.. Prayers will go into effect for him.

Our day, went to the post office to get all the Vcards mail.. to the store to get a few items we needed.. taking dogs in and out to potty... it is cold outside for them to stay, talked with my dd over the phone, now what else happened today?

weather like I said is cold.

Oh Catlover you were talking about the Amish. We have several communities that is not far from here that is Amish.. I know each yr we have this huge community sale, some are more like yard sells, but vendors are also out in selling thier wares. The Amish is always there with several booths to sell thier ware.. Their food is sooo good.
such as thier breads, jams, etc..

About a hr half drive from here is a community town that many lives in.. It seems strange to see Walmarts have a section for thier horse and buggies. I remember being in that town for the first time. John was aware of it, and I looked out my window and saw this horse and buggie.. I got so excited and thougt wow, that is neat and usual.. Then he showed me Walmarts, and a few of the grocery stores around there.. hitching rails... so coooolllll.. and on Fri or Sat, not sure which day is was now.. the hitching post area would be full of thier buggies... what a site to see.. Was like living in 2 worlds at the same time, a world of yesteryears and modern time.. boy it sort of warp your mind at the first site.. but soo cool...

dogs need to go back outside again.. so the day is not over yet. see you later

My internet connections have been down, even though I'm not on a lot, when it's gone you miss it LOL

Hi Barbar.

Today was my meals on wheels day for february, I'm now starting my 10year.
Cameron and I went for a long drive (he practised), we had some lunch and when we drove home again we forgot to put the learner "L" on the car, oops he'd have been in trouble if the police had pulled us over.

.... and the weekend is upon us again

Kathy, wow, I love that you have something to put on the car to show there is a new drive (learner)r in it Here in NH we don't have anything like that so it is kind of scary when you have impatient drivers behind you and a new driver behind the wheel.

My day is starting out very hectic - my oldest dc child is just wild today and driving me crazy! I am hoping the day gets better. But it's Friday and I am in a great mood! Now I wish my next to youngest dc child would leave my cats alone. It's going to be a long day.

Sammi, you lave a black L on yellow for learner and yes it's wonderful that cars can give you a bit of space to learn while on the road.
There is a red P on white for 1 yr when you get your licence and a green P on white for 1 year then you get open licence from then on.

Hectic friday, quiet weekend?

I made some triple choc choc chip biscuits, half went while still warm from the oven when the choc chips were oozing.
I read some of my book, did some washing and other bits and pieces am going to try once again to clean my craft room. I go to put something away, think oh I can make something with that, then proceed to make more mess, tsk tsk!

Oh my day went from bad to worse! One of my dc children decided to paint with her poop (it gets worse) all over her face, her clothes and her hands!!! I actually gagged! Had to give her a bath, put her clothes through the laundry, and sanitize the crib and everything else involved. I think because she completely covered her face is what got to me the worst. She turned 2 last Oct. and is the sweetest little girl ever so today was a complete surprise. But, her parents told me she did the same thing to them at home last week. I know it is a stage but boy will I be glad when she gets through this one or is potty trained. And the naughty 4 yo was in rare form all day being naughty and he is almost never naughty so have no idea what was up today. Luckily the other two dc children were good as gold. Now it is Friday night, dinner is over, good shows on tv and I have two days off. Going to a hockey game tomorrow night. Something to look forward to!
