November 2011 Friendship Flower

Hi Everyone!!

An early Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate the day.

Sorry, I am late with this. Had planned on doing it before bed but forgot as I seem prone to do. I know it can't be my age. LOL

Anyone have special plans for this month with the beginning of the holiday season?

Judy wants a Roast for Thanksgiving
but I know Steven will want a Turkey
Leg lol he will have to be happy with
Turkey breast as I think that is what
I will buy BUT at this point honestly
don't know. I may do a Ham and have
Turkey for Christmas. There will just
be Judy and I both days but Steven
will still want what ever we have.
Went to Eye DR today and left me
confused. I have 20/25 in left eye
and 20/30 in right AND a catarac in
3rd "stage" in BOTH eyes. I don't
need new glasses which I am very
thankful for. I go back to him on
7th of Dec for him to look at eyes
when NOT dialated. He wanted 23rd
or 30th of this month but already
have appts both days as well as 30th.
So 7th earliest so shall see what he
says that day he said we would
discuss my options. Kent is having
one eye done the 16th of this month
and 2nd on 21st of Dec. I will be
going with him and Gina for those
"surgeries". Gina has a nose surgery
on Jan 3rd. And I will be with her and
Kent that day too. Gee I am so popular
lol

I am in a mood tonight, just sad. Think it is all the medication I have been on but still makes me feel icky. It tried to snow today. I don't like winter and snow. I am bored still not up to doing much... Gregg isn't talkative tonight either. So I am bored, sad and lonely. What a night. lol

aw gee bluebird wish I was at home tonight and we could have chatted on FC...hope tomorrow is cheerier for you and I agree, healing can really take the stuffing out of a person

pattig - you are a busy bee! I am looking forward to retirement so I can do like you do! best to you on those eyes

paula, I think cider isn't 'strained'

laurie, me too, this year I am going to try mostly online shopping, I think if I order one thing at a time then I can use the followup reward or coupon on the next thing, or so I hope!

our thanksgiving will be quiet (I hope)...I was going to go to DC with dh for three days for a second honeymoon but I forgot about having to run the coal and wood burner, this year we are starting it before thanksgiving, so I guess I'll just enjoy three days off and second honeymoon in the spring sometime. One of the girls will be in CA and the other will do homework.

so I will go into work and check on the freezers (we have 21 of them! always amazes me! and I have to analyze what's in them all! except maybe six of them have already been done) they call it job security, I sure hope so! anyways, to speed things along I am trying to do double assays now, instead of eight cycles a week, do sixteen - today and tomorrow are my test beds for trying this so I hope it goes okay and then I'll practice another few times and see if my results are just as good and that I can keep up with the data entry

thanksgiving, well dh will just have to baste the turkey and I can make the stuffing the night before along with the side dishes and pie

sharon, I know it's never the age for me either

Hi everyone

I had 77 trick-or-treaters this year. I am so happy! We got lots of compliments on the decorations. One car stopped in front of the house just to look at the decorations One couple from up the street had to walk down so they could see the house everyone was talking about. I sat at a table in the driveway with plates holding liver, kidneys and tongues. I had a ball!

We only got about an inch of snow in my part of the state. Further north there was more. But I'm happy. It was pretty good for the first snowfall.

I have a very busy November. This week we had 2 masses at my church, yesterday & today. One for All Saints Day and the other for All Souls Day. Tomorrow night I have a meeting for the Christmas bazaar. Friday night is pot luck at a friends house. Saturday I am donating platelets. Sun my best friend is hanging out with me while they replace her floors in her apartment. I am on vacation next week starting on Wed. Wed & Thu are filled with Dr appt's and the boiler cleaning. Thu night I leave for the Women of Faith convention in Hartford, CT (can't wait!!). The following Sat & Sun is the parish Christmas Bazaar. Then there's Thanksgiving, just the 3 of us. I also have a ticket to see Trans-Siberian Orchestra on Black Friday (my birthday surprise). I'm tired just thinking about all I have to do

Dval congrats on the trick or treaters. We don't get any where we live.

The girls will be home from college for the long Thanksgiving weekend. I will be cooking dinner at home for Thanksgiving.

We are trying to get the renovatioins finished before the girls get home for Thanksgiving. Hope we can do it.

Thanks Ellen. Sorry you won't get your second honeymoon. DC in the spring could be very pretty. I am telling myself to suck it UP. Not working very well. lol I did find infection in part of my wound. I am calling the doctor today on that. I have treated my wounds with antibiotic cream from day 3. I might need another round of oral antibiotics. This could be part of my moods too.

I have busy day. Meeting with the craft coop to set up. Need to bake cookies for the grand opening on Sat. I guess I need to get busy.

November is a busy month for me. I have 3 birthdays in the first week. My oldest was yesterday, my oldest son is today and my youngest daughter is on the 7th.
I am really looking forward to Thanksgiving because I love to cook and I love to eat.
There are still ppl without electric from that snowstorm, 3 of my cousins have no electric. All of my sisters were fine and my lil bro. Wow, what a storm for the 'first snowfall' of the year!
You know someday Dval I am going to drive to your house on Halloween just to see it!! You are in NH right? Maybe next year.....
Connie I was thinking oh good she feels better.... well I hope that you are on the mend. Infections are not good. But congrats on the job, I hope it works out for you!
Nothing going on in my neck of the woods. Just puttering around. I think I will go sit outside and read for a while and then walk on the treadmill for a couple of miles. It's nice outside here in Florida.
Have a great day all.
Felicia
