Say Cau, I remember from last year, hope you are doing all right tonight.
October is a big month here for us also. It is the end of the summer harvest season and the change of time, or is it in November now? We don't decorate much for Halloween anymore, and always did just spiders, pumpkins, scarecrows and corn husks. I'd really like to do big rubber rats some day but they are expensive!
Watched Bridesmaids tonight with my daughter, it was cute enough and had a reasonably decent ending.
We made a fire in the fireplace, got a lamp rewired so now we can see the coal burner when we are working in it, must still get some new glass for it, will get new piping and firetemp paint tomorrow, evenings are getting chilly so we use the fireplace and woodburner to take off the damp.
I did another two dozen jars in the water bath canner: raspberry-mango-tomato-orange jam; pickled red cabbage and onions, pickled beets; jalapeno pepper jelly; sweet pepper and onions; and dh dried some more habaneros, green onions, and herbs. All small batches, easier to do. Still have the apples to do, so many this year on our trees!
