I am here too but not for long. Listening to news and got to be happy osama bin laden is now dead. After all the hurt and anguish he has caused so many people.
Think I will get in bed and read before trying to go to sleep. Take care all

I was all ready for bed and making up the last of the grocery list/coupon stuff for dh when the news came on, dh keeps the news on all the time but we were watching some cooking show when my dd1 called us and said to turn on the news, so we did and stayed up late listening to it all.

I wasn't as scared as I was on the day of 9/11 but rather relieved that that is over now, two down and a few more to go is what I was thinking...but like someone else posted, am I really rejoicing over the death of someone or more the removal of a threat? and where does that blurred line of mercy and justice lay? HOw I wish for peace, in my own heart first, then in my family, then my community, and then in the world...

Connie, I hope you get some good rest tonight, blessings to you dearly
and Connie and Patti G thanks for posting I was beginning to think it was the second coming and I had gotten left behind!

when I turned on the news this morning I saw the breaking news about Bin Laden. It is a relief to know that he is gone. But then I started to think about what could be in store now that America has gotten rid of him.

I was going to wear a gray tee shirt today but after seeing the news, I changed into a blue tee with the USA on it decorated like the American Flag. (Walmart special of $3) If I had more Red, White and Blue stuff I'd wear it all week.

I have several shirts with USA, Flag etc so will choose one of them to wear tomorrow. Stacie & I are going grocery shopping etc. Among other things will be Golden Corral we have not been there since Feb 4th before her ankle surgery and now they have to go back in on 10th to redo something so we have to get groceries tomorrow. Neither of us are "available" the rest of the week.
Sat out on the porch and finished Rebecca's Choice #3 of an Amish series. Still have 4 more to read of the ones I bought in March while Gina & I were in Amish Country in Ohio. Sun drove me in so laid down and now watching Jeopardy and then D W T Stars

My dh is the king of doing things right, he turned out two fabulous loaves of sourdough tonite. WE had a small pan of rolls of hte same for our dinner. Didn't get the flour so will need to get that done tomorrow.

I konw about not eating meat, got hit with that about four years ago, and it worked on chicken too, that's when I turned to mild tofu adn grains and beans. It passed but only a little bit. I guess our digestive systems go through changes like the rest of us as we age.

Patti, I can't take much sun anymore either.

Coll, I'll say my piece with socks (!) tomorrow, don't have any tshirts to do it, my WM flag shirt got shrunk in the dryer (:-(

I don't eat that much meat either have not had ham in good while last roast was Christmas and before that good question. Would love some venison but been years since I had any no access to anyone that hunts now. I am so glad Tofu takes on flavor of what it is mixed with. Love Sourdough bread

Thanks for the thoughts and blessings. I build a fb page in my friends memory. People are posting on it. I will make sure her parents see it. The funeral is Wed. I won't go back for it. She understands.

I just found out "Aunt Nellie" 92 yrs young passed away yesterday morn. She was not actually related to me but was the mother of my best friend Dot that was classmate of mine in South Carolina and they lived next door to my beloved grandparents. She would have been 93 June 29th. As sad as we are of her loss she is better off she had Alzheimers and it has been rough on my friend Dot and rest of family. I called the nursing home 2 yrs ago and talked with her for a bit after Dot said a few things she remembered me. I can still see her face and hear her voice tho' has been years since we saw each other '92 to be exact.
Okay going to bed and hope I sleep got a busy day ahead of me. Take care all
