Any e-book reader ?

If you are a e-book reader speck up, please.
What is it you asked? It is a portable electronic device that is designed primarily for the purpose of reading digital books and periodicals.
Some may call it a e-book device or e-reader.

I received my as a early christmas gift. I love it. I have download lots of free books, as well as games.

Unbelievable I know but you can get free books.

I was just wondering who else may be a e-reader and getting free books.

thought we might like to discuss or tell how much we like our e-reader.
and where u are getting your free books from.

Maybe this will help othes...

I've got a Nookcolor and get free books from Barnes & Noble and from my public library. The library has only had epubs since January so the selection isn't great big but it is building. My plan is to NOT buy any books unless maybe as reference material. There are several sites for freebies available but I find I can get more than enough using these two sources. It's wonderful to go book shopping in my pjs and at home in the icy weather.

I started using Kindle for PC. I downloaded the Kindle reader to my computer and now I download free books from Amazon.

I just downloaded a bunch of recipe books - some from Gooseberry for meatloaf, mac n cheeses, choc. chip cookie recipes...and many others.

All for free!

I got mine from Amazon, too.

For the free e-reader, just look up Kindle for PC download on Google or another search engine. It will walk you through how to download it.

For the "free" e-books, here's a link. This link has a few free Gooseberry e-cookbooks.

For this one, the recipes in the yellow boxes will load for free- no reader necessary.

Look up "free cookbook ebooks" on Google - there are tons of sites. Be careful that the sites are safe before clicking on them and always have an anti-virus protection running. You never know if something will be hidden in places like that. I haven't had any problems with any of the links that I've looked at.

we/ve got Kindle and I read it on the bus - very handy and lightweight - decided to work through the free books and did pay for one reference book and then found out my neighbor had a hardcopy of it (rats!) - anyway very happy with it

our library rents out Sony rreaders but I don't know how they work, if they have to be downloaded or paid for or what, the English classes use them

I am wanting a Kindle because I can purchase the DSM for it. I need that to diagnose clients. The only way insurance companies will pay me for my services is if the client has a diagnosable problem. The hard copy DSM is HUGE! That would be the only thing that I would pay money for. It would be easier to carry around. Unfortunately, I don't think you can rent library books on the Kindle. With Kindle, I think you can only get books from Amazon and Nook will only use Barnes and Nobles books. Nook will not offer the DSM yet.

I was given a Nook for Christmas (2010) and love it... just not all the content in its library at the moment (DH likes using it too - just like my droid (phone)). I have read Jane Austin, Emily Bronte and Debbie McComber...Piers Anthony, and unknown - yet popular writers. I love the fact that I can access the internet for many things, but have to resort to a "book-light" to read at night. On the flip side, I have seen and touched the Kindle, and do not like the "keyboard" as it takes up reading space....

I bought myself a Kindle and I love it . I've checked out the freebees and a lot of old cheap books. I did do some other books ( ones I paid for ) but absolutely love using it. fficeffice" />
