Happy March to all. Well, just trying to figure out how to get my son who is a teenager to remember his pencils when he brings them home from school. He forgets the little things and remembers larger items. I have tried pencil cases, he has a backpack too, that he only uses when he has lots of schoolwork to take home. Anyway, all is good here except for allergies acting up and the kids have been really busy with school activities. My daughter has a school play coming up in her high school and she is in it. My son just finished with his Quiz Bowl competitions. Now, he will have Match Carnival coming up in the next few months. My daughter has a choir competition this weekend. It sure has been busy here. Hope all have a great day and God bless you all. Hope all who are sick feel better soon.

Sharon, hugs. I don't have the words..... I wish I could sit with you and hold your hand.

Stuie goes everywhere dd goes. Dd and bf don't go to his house. The family is going through a rough time after a divorce. Better for the kids to be here.

March is a busy month for me. My older granddaughter's birthday is on the 14th. So I need to get things together to send her a gift in the mail.

Spring break starts next week for my daughter in college. So she will be home.

Connie it is a good thing that you have a better place for your dd's bf to hang out at.

Yay!! It's March!!! We are getting closer to spring!

I am so behind on posts again but will try to catch up.

Bar_Bar, I hope you are feeling better and that your friend Gloria is feeling better too.

Sharon, I am so sorry to hear about all that your son is going through. I know it must be very hard for you to hear how down he is. A positive attitude is so important when being treated for such a serious illness. I am keeping your ds in my prayers and you as well. Let him know that he has a lot of people all over the country praying for his recovery!!! I wish I could be there to give you a hug.

Connie, sounds like you are making a good choice in having your dd and her bf spend time at your home rather than his.

Ellen, so great to see your post!!! I am very glad to hear you love your new job. I did not know you were a bird lover. I had two parakeets when my dks were younger and just loved them. They were such good company. I would love to have birds again some day but right now my youngest cat would be too much of a terror. I am hoping to get a Kindle in the next week or so and hope to download some of the classics too.

Denahowy, what is it with boys and forgetting things. My ds2 does that all the time! Hope your allergies get better. Sounds like your dks are keeping you very busy.

Charlotte, will your dd be coming home for spring break? Not sure if my ds1 will be coming home or not.

Hello to all I have not mentioned. I just get so behind. Have read all the posts but can't remember everything.

This is school vacation week here so will only have one dc kid on Wed. and Friday. Dh has been sick with a really bad cold/flu so hasn't been to work. I tell him he needs to go to the doctor but as a typical male refuses to go. I can deal with him being sick (make him tea, soup etc.) but it is the moaning and the groaning that drive me crazy! Ds1 went on a sleepover at a friends house, came home and now is off to drama practice. Have barely seen dd as she is off with her boyfriend or at work. Very quiet around here, especially without my dc children. We had another big snow storm then a day later had a snow/ice storm. With the height of the snowbanks I think it is going to take forever for it all to melt! I have mostly been hibernating at home other than going to the store to get cold meds for dh. I hope everyone is having a good week!

Hello March and all, trying to make like a homemaker today. Doing what I can. Judy was up early cleaning doing things I can't plus what ever struck her to do.
Think I will make tater salad if I have enough potatoes. We shall see. Got 4 eggs on to boil to make sandwiches with just got a taste for them.
Back to "doing things" if I sit too long will not get anything done. Happy March all

Hello all. I can't believe I'm not pages and pages behind this month, LOL.

Beginning to hate March. We buried Dad on the first, and the fifth anniversary of moms death is the sixth.

Good things though-Elijah turns 3 on the 5th, have nieces with b-days on the 14th, 5th and 17th. DD1's b-day is the 19th. And my bestest friend's is the 30 or 31st, can never remember which.

wow, a new thread, hard to believe it is March.
Seleach are you the new mod for this thread, if so congrulations. I know you do a great job with this thread.
I'm so sorry to hear what you are so afraid of the outcome is.. I remember what that is like.. as I went thru so many yrs with John not knowing, but knew it could happened anytime. Sad thing is, we are never ready for it when it does happened even knowing it could.. so I'm sending you big huge hugs and prayers.
thinking of you.. and if u need to talk, just know you can talk with me. send me a email..

Deb, it good to see you with this thread. A bunch of wonderful women.
How old is your son? Does he have add or adhd. I know my son did and it was hard at times. We did put him on meds for a yr or a little longer, but in due time we took him off when he went to a private school. they were willing to work with him.
He doing fine and has a great job, and a daddy to a little girl that I do not see. but will not go there.. it painful and I really don't understand it either.

Ellen it good seeing you again..

today I have felt stronger than I have in some time, Praise the LORD.. and Gloria is feeling a tiny better..

We went out today to grocery shop and both of us were tired by the time we got home. another lady went with us that is one of our neigbors, since she doesn't drive.

The other day the dogs went to the groomer and Tigger was so cute, it was her first hair cut.. did the crocker spanier look on her.....

I think I mention the youngest gd checked out ok with the diabetic testing done..
the oldest one will be turning 12, how?
but as she is turning 12 which is hard to believe, I have to face it that I'm staring at the fact that it will be 2 yrs since the journey really started that lead to John's death. wow, so hard to believe.. yet the pain is still so real, still struggling... the void is awful... I have to wonder at times, if the pain will ever ease...

I thank you ladies that allows me to post my feelings and pain and know you guys care,
it feels good we can post our feelings and talk about anything on these threads. It makes us closer in our own ways.. and often brings us to that family feeling with one another..

The oldest one bday party is going to have the theme of mardi gras? anyone know any good games or ideas to work a kid's bday party around this theme?
I know it will be a slumer party, she was disappointed that I wouldnt' be there. To me it to far, and with my car not running good and I've been sick I just can't be.
I kept telling her to cheer up but she wasn't doing a good job in doing that.
This will be my 2nd yr not to go to her party.

She did another try out for another choir performance and will know later this week how she did.

Youngest gd not happy that I won't be at the party either, they can't wait till we are all well over here where they can come to visit with me agian... since the last time I saw them was a little after christmas.

till next time.. may you all have a great day tomorrow and those that are sick get well soon..

HUgs.

Thank you ladies for your prayers and thoughts.

Connie, it's best for the kids to be at your house for sure.

Bar_bar, I hope you feel better soon.

Sammi, I hope your dh feels better soon also and that the dc kids and you don't get sick too.

Ds is going to be talking to a surgeon at the University Hospital in Madison. The surgery would be gruesome. No matter what treatment plan he agrees to, it is going to be a long, rough road. And very unpleasant. If he is strong enough to even get through it. The decision is his to make. I will back what ever decision he decides on.
There is nothing I can do but be there when he needs me.

Had to take my car into the garage. Heard a noise near the right front wheel. Turns out the calipher was seized. Routers were so rusted, they had to be cut off the spindle. They loaded caliphers and routers on both sides and bled the line. $370. Ouch!! At least the back brakes are like new.
Take care all.
