I had to check... And Yes Siree.. I joined in 2002!

I went back a looked at my first post.. I was a little timid about jumping in after I first joined so I wandered around a bit before I spoke up. I really enjoy the family feel of the forums.

I was recipe hunting when I found the Family Corner. My family and I are thankful for all the cooking tips, frugal tips, family tips, and friendships I have encountered through the pages of Family Corner.

I think most of us were a bit on the timid side to begin with. I was looking for recipes too. And also joined in '02

Recipes/Postcard exchange

I was searching for more people to exchange postcards with and came across Family Corner. I've liked it ever since.
I like it most now for the recipes and recipe testing and the cool awards that can be won.

Connie this is such a great question! I found FC while I was recovering from an injury. My older daughter was 12, and I was looking for kid-friendly recipes so she could take over soome of the cooking. I found the "what's for dinner thread" and the ladies made me feel so welcomed. I have become good friends with many of the ladies over the past nine years. It really is like a family here!

I was on a forum / list with a few special ladies, and we had some common interests. Either Tami and/or Amanda brought me over here or Donna did. All I remember is I was still living in Illinois at the time, it was in the early 2000, and I had to redo my information b/c someone had hacked my original e-mail attached to this site, and I was so embarrassed! I was able to get more involved with this forum too. I tried to welcome newbies (I remembered being new), I tried answering questions, posting a few of my own, being part of a PC club (that was fun!), tried a card exchange (that was interesting), shared lots of photos, some jokes / stories, and sharing wisdom I collected through the years from so many people who crossed my path (and some of my own), and some experiences to boot. I learned (and still do) allot from everyone in here (great ideas, creative ways to share, special recipes, etc)... so THANKS to all of you!
