Family Corner Reunion

It is about an 8 and 1/2 hour drive for me. We are planning on going to Disney next summer since my boys have never been. I do not know if we can plan another trip. We will just have to see what the final arrangements are.

Honestly, I don't know whether or not I'd make the trip. It's a great idea, but it's hard to know this far ahead. My husband has no desire to go whatsoever, and my kids think it's weird that I'm yet again talking about meeting people I only know from the internet. I had the joy of meeting Jayne (Nagymom) five years ago. I and my family had a lovely dinner and evening at her home. They teased me then too.. But really enjoyed meeting her and her family.

Now this time, the kids are teasing me mercilessly. It's so funny!! They said next I'll be drinking and driving, doing drugs and having unprotected sex with strange men. It's not easy being a mom these days.. I laugh and say "do what I say not what I do" ... Thank G--d they're basically grown, or Id really be in trouble! LOL

Sounds like alot of fun...probably for me I will have to check into flights and accomodation....it would be nice if those of us who have to stay in a hotel would stay at the same one......that way we could visit in the evenings.....it probably would only be me going......so would have to find a way from the airport to branson..i won't rent a car and drive in the states....maybe they hae a bus...does anyone know how far tthe airport is from branson????? Guess I will have to research it a little and check out costs.......Val would love if you would make the trip you and I could bunk in together or hang when others are with family..loved our time in New york so know we would have fun......Meg how cool would that be if you came over......Wow.....Thanks Donna for working on making this a reality.....

44 miles from Branson.
There are car rentals here and a shuttle that goes into Branson.

St Louis' Lambert International Airport is 250 miles away via a 4 lane interstate.

I googled hotels and campgrounds last night and there ae MANY to choose from!

I'll be going to Dallas next June. So I probably can't make it. Unless you all want to switch to Dallas.

The drive is not the problem it is the finances. If we spend all our summer money in Disney I am not sure if I can afford another hotel. Plus we are trying to get out of debt so I do not want to have to get into more when I go on this trip. I am going to try my best and it will probably be just me and the boys. I know my hubby will not be able to get away. It also depends on Scout camps as well. There is just a lot that we will have to look at. I am hoping that we can come. This would be so exciting to actually meet everyone and put faces with names.

Not a chance for me I'm afraid, I wouldn't do a trip like that with out my hubby and he wouldn't
get that much time off work in 1 hit, (a couple of weeks at least) the $ would do us in as well.
We do't fly domestically due to flight prices so overseas would take us a while to save up for.
So sorry I hope those who get to meet have a great time though.
