Summer Plans

Whats everyones summer plans?
We are not taking our vacation until October and that will be a camping trip! We have a couple Saturday day trips planned...the beach and Sequoia.
We have a local baseball team, the Blaze, and we usually go to a couple games over the summer. We plan on going on 4th of July for sure, to see the fireworks!
Mark is in a bowling tournament in July, I will be the cheerleader and soda runner! LOL!
In June I am taking the train up north to meet Coll!!!! We will have lunch together in San Fransisco!!!!
August is me and moms 120th birthday party!!!!!!!!!!! YAYA!!!!
and Septembert is the fair.........we are seeing Air Supply this year!!!

How about everybody else?

We don't have much planned for this summer. The kids and I will spend time at the library and we will go to the free movies this summer. A bowling alley not too far from us is offering free bowling for the summer for the kids (pay for shoes only) so we might do that a few times, too.

We've been invited to swim in my DD's friend's pool this summer and Andy wants to go golfing a few times this summer in hopes of joining his school golf team next year.

I was planning a short weekend trip to Georgia to tour some places but my dh just informed me that his work car might need some repairs to it that will cost $$$$ so I guess that we will have to wait and see.

I've seen Air Supply, Donna....have fun!! They used to be one of my favs!

We don't have to much planned this summer except to get some stuff done here at home. Our oldest son and family are coming to visit for a week in July. We will do something that week with the kids and granddaughters when they come.

We have bought passes to the local pool and to an amusement park so with going to the library and the childrens theater (10 movies for $5) that will be our summer with VBS and GS camp in June. DD1 is doing a summer program again which limits going away for more than a day with practises on Sun, Tue, Thur with the performance the second weekend of Aug.

For my summer plans, I am going to California with my nephew and his family, all expenses paid I might add. while there I am meeting with my friend Donna aka trainlady for lunch at Boudin's on the Wharf. Meeting a crazy like myself should be the best part of the trip, love ya Donna.
In July we will go to Virginia to spend 4th of July weekend with Jenn and Justin at his families cabin.
Now I need to plan something for August.

We have a four-day family reunion in Gatlinberg TN. We're traveling from NY with a dog sitting between two daughters, so we will probably make it a 2 day trip there and back.

I
im thinkiing about taking the Blue Ridge Pkwy one way, so I have to research that. Any advice? Is it better to do that trip in another season?

With any luck I will have a rather close to home job. Otherwise, I will be assisting my DH be a tour guide for my MIL and NIL when they visit at the end of July for 10 days. Personally I'd rather be the tour guide....

We did have plans to go to Ohio this month for my 50th class reunion & get together with family, but had to cancel the trip due to DH's health. Hopefully we will be able to go at a later time.

Donna & Coll, have a great time together & don't forget to take photos to share with us.
