We have 2 Ford Taurus right now. My dh said that our older Taurus is going to need a right front half shaft one of these days. Now time to decide if we are going to keep it. Just what we need...another bill.

I drive a Ford Expedition, but we also have a Dodge Neon that we use to save gas and only drive the expedition when we tow the trailer or need the space. DH has a S-10 pickup, and he has a Firebird that we only use about 6 months out of the year. The "youngest" is 10 years old! We usually keep vehicles till the repair bill has gone over the top and it just doesn't make any sense to repair more. The Neon was my son's that he was going to junk so I put $5000 into it and almost everything is new at that time and I figured even though it isn't new I knew there wasn't going to be unexpected repairs. It has 140,000 miles on it, the expedition has 100,000, S-10 75,000 and the Firebird a little over 100,000.

I drive a Ford Explorer. We've had it for about 7 years. It has'nt given us any major problems. We've had it paid off for a couple of years now. We are both tired of making payments. From now on we will pay cash.
My husband drives his Ford pickup which is a gas guzzler.

Isn't it wonderful to be able to pay cash and have no car payments. We were able to do that for the first time with our last purchase. Only twice through the years have we ever bought brand new. It just isn't worth it with the quick depreciation. Seems we manage to find a car that is a couple years old in great condition. Right now I am driving a 2008 Chevy Malibu and dh has a 1999 Camry. I have loved the 3 Camrys we have had over the years. I had a 2000 and gave it to my Grand daughter for her HS graduation in 2009. It still looks great and runs well. I am kind of keeping my eye out to trade in the Malibu, I'm just not really crazy about it. Just not the quality of the Camrys, although it is very good on gas.
