At the library

When you go to the library, what section of it do you head to first?

I usually head to the shelf that holds the "new features" books, then to the cookbooks and DIY books. I'm usually with my kids so then I head to the kids' section and to the dvd section.

Where do you go first?

I always head to the "New to the library" section, this has all the new releases whether books or DVDs.

The odds and ends that don't seem to fit the shelves, boys head to the CD's and DVD section and hubby heads to the magazine and CD's.
Nothing good in the odds and ends I will then do the shelves to see what's appealing

Sadly I go to the children section, because I am usually checking out books for my niece and nephew to assist with their summer learning preparations for the coming school year. It's sad because I don't go for myself. I have several shelves full of DIY and Cook books that we don't use often enough to keep them around (not since before 2002, and one Debbie McC. cookbook I bought in 2008 - Cedar Cove style) - because we have rented since we sold our home in Illinois back in 2002. And w/my Nook, I can access several books at one time mostly for free w/o fear of forgetting to take it back on time.
I remember a time when I use to love going and sitting for hours in the library, reading homework books, landscape magazines, enjoying the library grounds, meeting up w/friends and scanning weird books, etc. Now it's just too hot to really want to go sit for hours in someone else s AC just to get back in my car and drive back home (lately it's been in the low 100's by 9 AM, and in the low 90's by 9 PM).
