Differences between Outlook Express & Outlook?

I am currently using OutLook Express for my main email account. Soon, I will be upgrading to OutLook. Can someone tell me the major differences between the two?

Also, if you are using Windows 7, do you use Outlook or one of the free emails like Gmail or Hotmail?

Thanks!
Tami

I was an outlook express user and was sure I wouldn't change. THEN I started using Outlook when I got Vista. I love it and get so frustrated when I go on hubbys computer and he is still using express.
I also use gmail, but it does have limitations

I used Outlook briefly a long time ago and changed to Express -it's more user friendly I think. We are now using Outlook again because my dd has to use it for school. We are using Windows XP. The main thing that bothers me about Outlook-you have to X totally out to change email addresses. I have 3 addresses on Outlook, my dd and gd have 1 each. I have to X out to check each mail account-unless someone can tell how I can check them without going all the way out.
On Express you just go to file and change to a different email.
Oh well, when we get our other computer fixed I'll have it set up for me with Outlook Express.
