When you grocery-shop, do you use the self-checkout lane, or do you use the lanes with a human cashier? Do you have a preference? Or is self-checkout not even available where you are?
I ALWAYS HAVE HAD TROUBLE WITH THE SELF CHECK OUT LANES. We don't have them in grocery stores in my area but they use to have them in stores like k Mart......Now I notice they have taken them out of these stores....People were having trouble with them....

I don't generally use them as I need to add money to my church gift card (they receive 4% of my purchases) each shop and you can't do that at the self check out.
I will use a self check out if I only have a couple of items that I'm just running in for but not for a cart load.

I only use them if I have one or two things that I know will scan easily and will register enough weight in the bag to go through. I hate when you put an item in a bag and then the machine screams " please place item in the bag"...UGH!
I use them at Meijer because I have had cashier issues with using my own bags-they have made faces at bringing my own bags & have had cashiers watch as I bagged all of my own groceries & get impatient waiting for me to finish bagging the groceries & to pay for them. I use the ones with the conveyor belts.With them, you bag your own groceries using either the plastic bags or your own. I have seen other people also use them so they must have had the same problems.

We have them in all of the stores here that I go to. On smaller orders I use them but on my weekly one I don't. I do like them thoiugh I do get tired of the machine being so bossy.
