Just went on facebook last night for the first time. Looked up an old friend that I had not seen since 1955 after graduating and getting married and moving away.
Found Her right away. She wrote back and became My friend. Looked up Her telephone number on the internet and called Her tonight. Was surprised to hear Se was thinking of Me this week too. Was telling Her daughters how different life was when we were younger and how close we all were growing up. Sad to hear how many had passed away over the years.
I am sure we will continue our friendship in the years to come. It felt like time had not passed talking to Her.

I have found lots of friends from elementary and junior high school!
It is really fun to hear about their lives, see pictures of their families, etc!
That is really neat that you found an old friend right away! Have fun catching up!!
Just found a site with all that have my last name with family & friends. Asked to join will see if they respond. My Dh father died when He was five years old so never had any contact with relatives. His Mother remarried so they never kept in touch with Her either. Will see how it turns out?
Also joined my girlfriend that I found, Her family group with hundreds of family photos. Nice to be able to see how they all grew up with their weddings.
Now that friends know I am on here they are notifying Me. Some had blocks so everyone would not be able to see them.
Not bad for only a couple of days being on Facebook.

I've found several! Actually, most of them found me. I only joined to "spy" on my 2 teenagers, but it was really great to reconnect with some friends from grade school, high school and college.
Barbszy, I to joined to keep an eye on my dd. I found friends I went to school with overseas, while my dad was stationed in Germany. I think it is great to hear from them from time to time. There are a few, I don't respond to, the ones that made my life a nightmare in high school. Other than that, it is nice to keep up with folks that live all over the world.

I found a few college friends and a whole bunch of folks from high school- including two friends I hadn't seen since our first year of college and I'd been wondering what happened to them. Just be careful about sharing too much personal info publicly; but otherwise, Facebook can be fun!
