Theresa, I'm still plugging along. You are lucky to be able to get the H1N1 flu shot. Our Drs. have been out of the regular flu shot for about two weeks here. I got mine but nobody else got theirs, dh always drags his feet about getting one. And there isn't any H1N1 shots available here either.
So we keep washing our hands and trying to stay healthy and my hands are really dry.

Everybody will get over being miffed eventually. But I know it is upsetting.

Patti, how's your foot?

Hi to everyone else read everything but have forgotten most of it now.

Connie, I hope that things work out for your friend. It is such a difficult position to be in.

Theresa, to find out more about my dh’s blueberry farm you can go to facebook and type in Ives Berry Farm and it should take you right to it and you can then see all kinds of pictures from beginning planting right up through. I think you gave Sherry some good advice about writing things out. It always works for me when I am struggling. I hope she realizes that she deserves better than her former boyfriend. Breakups are always hard even if they are for the best. And I don’t understand why Glen would be upset about having to have the H1N1 shot. I would think he would do it out of love for you and your health as well as his own health. Maybe it is the fact that he HAS to do it rather than it being his own choice. I sure hope he gets it for you. I also hope Crystal gets her dks vaccinated if she has the chance. Children are dying from this flu and it is nothing to mess with, especially since they are saying it is going to come back again in the spring. You are a good wife and a good mother and don’t let anyone else tell you otherwise. You are thoughtful and kind and a good friend!!! Hopefully your family will come to realize this.

Felicia, glad you are enjoying the cooler weather. It is going to get rather chilly here this week (40’s!) Hope you get lucky and get to keep your night shift at work.

Sandie, One of my dc parents who is a teacher at a school here said 71 students went home sick today. I am definitely going to be a stickler this year. I worry about my children as well as my daycare children getting sick. How are things in your dgks schools? I am definitely cutting back on Christmas too this year.

Karen, I am so glad to hear your uncle is doing better. I hope that he continues to improve. I am keeping him in my prayers.

Joy, I hope Paige’s surgery goes well. My mil just injured her meniscus (got plowed over by a horse) so she may need surgery as well. Sounds like your dh’s side of the family is going to have a HUGE Christmas. What fun. I love family get togethers. Doesn’t seem like it has been a year already since your former boss passed. I hope you can spend some time with his family. As for the blueberry farm, if you go to facebook and type in Ives Berry Farm under search it should take you to dh’s page and you can see all kinds of pictures. He is always hoping people will visit and become a fan LOL.

Lauri, I am looking forward to Thanksgiving too. I only get 4 days off but it is still a nice break.

Patti, so glad to hear your toe is better!!! Hope you get some great deals tomorrow.

Laurie, there is a shortage of the flu shots and the H1N1 shots here in NH too. Very frustrating. Guess all we can do is wash our hands and use hand sanitizer and stay away from anyone who might be sick!

Talked to my dc mom who just had a baby last week. Apparently her older son who is 3 (one of my dc kids) is quite miffed at having a new baby brother and is acting up terribly. He is very jealous. So, he will be coming to my house tomorrow as a break for him and a break for his mom! I am hoping the other dc kids who were out sick don’t come back unless they are truly better as I don’t want anyone else here getting sick. Had an easy day today with only 2 dc children again. I got laundry done today and made a beef stew for dinner with blueberry biscuits. The weather here is turning quite cold. Tonight I plan to read my library book, watch some tv and get to bed early. I think tomorrow will be a very busy day! Have a great evening everyone.

Come back again in the spring! Flu flu go away and never come back on any day!

I had a rough week feeling useless at work last week and then this week feeling useless with my sibs and caring for my mother....tonight I decided that I am still worth something even though others don't see it so I am back on an even keel again but it was a long couple weeks until I could see why everything was bugging me so much.

Cool pictures Sammi...I love blueberries...So how many plants are done now...Hope your day tomorrow is an easy one for you...

Laurie glad you got your H1N1 vaccine done...Is it just some men or all men that drag there feet when it comes to getting needles...

Patti so glad your toe is getting better...

Lauri I am so proud of you for not smoking...You Go Girl!!!!!

Well my day was a bit better...my daughter Crystal phoned me and the kids were sent home again today with fevers...I don't know what it is going to take for her to finally take Baleigh and Laucklan in at get them vaccinated...She told me I was being Paranoid about the flu...I don't think I am just because I want my grandkids to be vaccinated and to be healthy...my son's wife,Manon took their 3 kids in today to get the H1N1 vaccine...and I think that is great that she did...

Have not talked to Sherri...we did emails today and she is still having a hard time dealing with him leaving the way he did...She said she would call me tonight but she didn't...I hope tomorrow is a better day for her...

Glen is getting the H1N1 vaccine on Thursday along with me...he realizes that he is doing it to protect me from getting sick...last night he was being a jerk and he knows he was a jerk...So he will be getting the vaccine...

Not much else happening around here...still snowing here and we have enough for the snowplows to clear the streets...

Wishing everyone a wonderful week...

Smiles & Hugs...

Oh Theresa sorry for the mix up I only was able to get the regular flu shot. Everybody is out around here of both kinds.
It is very scary to think of the children that are getting ill and some dying. There have been 2 deaths here, 1 in Portland and 1 about 50 miles from here. Both of these people were young adults under 30. I worry about my kids cause neither one of them were planning on getting the shots. Knuckleheads anyway.

The flu over there sounds dreadful. We had a couple of mild cases here in Aus, but it seemed not too bad. There were a couple of people die, but way less than die every year from ordinary flu's. I hope those of you who are after vacination are soon able to get it.

Hubby and I had a lovely day out today. We didn't leave til 11am (so had a sleep in ), then drove about an hour or so to a little town. Wandered through a lovely patchwork/tearoom shop for a bit, went into the town, had kunch, walked by the river about an hour, went to a little teashop, then home by 6pm. The weather was almost perfect, maybe a tad cool, but lovely for walking.

Dd has her final year exams this week (although not her final year of school), they are tomorrow and Friday.I have some time off work and am enjhoying just pottering. Hope I don't feel like I have wasted my time at the end of it.

Connie, all the best with the move.

Theresa, don't let the turkeys drag you down! You are a lovely lady who lives with a lot of pain and we love you.
Karen, great news that your uncle is still able to communicate with his loved ones. Enjoy the time that is left with him.

OK I am not letting myself spnd hours here anymore, so best head off.
It is nice to be back and feel like I am again in the company of friends.

Hi all, Meg nice to see you back, I know what you mean when you say you feel like being here you are in the company of friends, (thats cuz we are, lol) I used to belong to a few other sites, and never felt the closeness, and the friendship, and the caring, as you feel here on FC. I have my own Yahoo group and I tag for a few, but that is just siggy tags, and no talking among others, so its definately not like here.
I was thinking alof of donna MArie this morning, I just sent her out a card, I hope she is doing okay, wondering if her son is up from Florida to give her support.
Sammi my dd lives in Mass (Dracut Mass) right on the Pelham NH border, and she said there is quite a few out in my youngest gd's school, but not so much in my older ones. They had that tragic accident in Pelham Halloween, when the tree fell on a little boy who was trick or tricking and he went into cardiac arrest and died, such a tragic tragic thing, I feel so bad for the family. My dd is going to the funeral, because the parents are neighbors of my dd's dad (my ex) and she said they are such a nice family.
Theresa glad Glenn is getting the vaccine, (men I tell you, why do they make things so hard at times?) Last night I had an arguement with Darryl over something so trivial, that I just went in the bedroom and watched tv because he was being so petty, this morning he apoligized, lol, he said he tried last night but I was asleep, and I said "well did you think I was gona lose sleep over something so dumb?
Glad to hear your toe is better Patti
Congrats on the quitting smoking Lauri, I must have missed the post earlier about it.
Tomorrow I take my mom to her last orthopedic surgeon visit, (she still is using the walker) she doesnt like the cane and said she feels better with the walker, yet she is still talking about the driving "again", the other day if I hadnt been right near her when she was in the refrigerator getting something she would have fallen as she didnt have her walker or cane, and she lost her balance, as I told my brother, as much as I hate to say it, she will most likely have another fall, because she just doesnt think before she does things, and it will never sink in to her head, so frustrating. When I walked intot her house Inoticed her walker was in the kitchen (she was i the living room) and her cane was way on the other side of the room, hanging on the back of the rocker, and I said why is your cane way over there, and her answer (oh yes she always has one lol) was I thought it would be good to try and walk to the cane, and I told her NO mom, you need the cane to help you walk, period, as I said so frustrating. Sorry didnt meant ot get off on a rant about it, but my dd and I seem to be the only ones that pick up on these things.
Well I have new recipe for a SF cheesecake, that Im making, Im doing a trial one today I want to make a few for Thanksgiving, but want to see how it comes out(besides Im dying for some) I hate trying a new recipe for a special occasion, and having it fail. Have a good day everyone Hi to all I missed, HUGS
