Tupperware

Just curious, my mum has emptied the final box from her moving house a few months back and low and behold Tupperware of all shapes and sizes popped out.
No I do remember most of it from when I was last at home over 22yrs ago and the new stuff from visits after we married BUT heck some of those dishes and containers I'm sure from the year I was born in the last 60's, of course some containers look better than others but there is a virtual time line of Tupperware products from over the years ........ she said something about the lift time guarantee they'll replace it, admittedly they do but .......... LOL

Does anyone have a similar story ?

My mom still has alot of the older tupperware items. I do to my stuff is from the 80's mostly. But it is still old to my kids. LOL!!!

I have replaced some of the old lids that have cracked from being so old. They had to give me the bowl and lid sense they don't have the old stuff any more. I just had to give them the old ones.

How about the old yellow, burnt orange and green colors. I still have some green bowls from the 70's.

I still have my big green mixing bowls from the 70's, some other big clear containers that I freeze cookies in. I used to have the 70's canister set but i think I gave it away since I upgraded to a set from Costco.
I played at selling Tupperware at one time and I have a large box full of things, up on a shelf don't know what's in there, LOL.

Oh and the good old melon baller as a party prize LOL
I've not been to a party in years and yes I have so many lids to replace but going to a party the Tupperware itself is great but the price, I guess that the life guarantee.
Burnt orange and olive and yellow in a set.
I now have a set that is pastel pink, blue, green and orange.

When I had my wedding shower I had an Aunt who at the time did tupperware and they did a party for me, each person attending put an envie of money in the dish (instead of a gift) and at the time I had $200 to spend and the hostess gift and a gift for how ever much money was spent + $200 I was in tupperware heaven for a newly wed! I still have 95% of the originals now with only a few extras for babies along the way.

I have one of those burnt orange canisters!!

I have a lot of tupperware, too. Quite a lot of it never gets used. Why on earth did I buy a jello mold when I usually just set the jello in the bowl I use to mix it?

I have a bag of those party gifts sitting in the bottom drawer in my kitchen. Been there since I moved into this house in 1987 and I still haven't opened it.

There are still those that I use every day. Does anybody remember the kids toy? That blue and red ball with the yellow shapes you put thru the holes? I bought one for my nephew/Godson in the 80's. I have a miniature of that toy on a key chain.

Still love my tupperware, but I haven't bought any in a very long time.

The colors were awful when it first came out!! My Mother bought me the blue/red ball that had different shapes and u had 2 fit the balls into the correct shapes. Then as I got older she bought the baking set, the drinking set, and a set that had trays w/ it. These have all been saved and r stashed away w/ other fond memories that I carry w/ me...

The shape ball that is one of the first things I bought when I had a baby, a shape ball, still have it!

The melon baller the kids used as a telephone and in the bath tub with lots of soap suds it was used to squish the suds through the hole to see how high it'd go

When I was cooking dinner I'd open the drawer with all the kid friendly utensils, so that when I was in the kitchen I'd open the drawer let them take a couple of items out to play with and it would keep them occupied. Never balled a melon in my life LOL
