Donna Marie--I am so happy that you and John were able to take the trip. Enjoy your time together.
Pam--You are so right--Life just seems to be a series of little dramas. I guess you just keep putting one foot infront of the other and get thru it all.
Sammi--What day is ds's birthday? Paige (dd1) turns 22 0n Friday. I hope you don't have to be without a washing machine for too long. Mine quite a couple of years ago and I think it was about the worst appliance to have not working. Can't seem to live without it.

Update on Dd1 (Paige) knee. She saw a specialist today had an x-ray and an MRI. Sounds like they are leaning toward a meniscus tear. We will have the MRI results Tuesday. She is getting around better and they told her to just do what she could as her knee allowed. If it is a tear they want to do a more extensive surgery and actually stitch the meniscus together instead of doing the laser procedure. Sine she is so young they feel in the long run this is the better route to take. It would mean 6 weeks recovery. Hopefully we could do it over Christmas vacation. I guess we will see what the tests say Tuesday.

Hope everyone is having a great day.

Hi guys,

I'd like to ask for all your prayers for my husband Keith. He's been admitted to the hospital for extremely high calcium amounts in his blood (hypercalcemia) and acute kidney failure. As we read through the symptoms of hypercalcemia, we noticed quite a few of his recent health problems. Kidney stones, nausea, vomiting. They don't know what has caused the high calcium. It could be as simple as faulty parathyroid glands or as bad as cancer. They admitted him to get rid of the calcium in his blood which will hopefully help the kidneys. If not, he may have to go on dialysis. Please pray that they find what is causing his problems and that it's the lesser of the two evils.

I had my rattle fixed in the front wheel of my car. It needed a new mount so I told my mechanic to fix it. When he took it apart, he found major damage to the strut (which the mount rests on). It was worn down to less than half the original width! He refused to put it back in the car. I shudder to think what would have happened if that had broken while I was driving on the highway! Thank God I finally got off my procrastinating butt and had it fixed. The mechanic told me the other side may last 6 months to a year. I'm thinking I'll change it automatically in the spring. The bill for this repair was $380. I can't complain. This is the first major work I've done on my car since I bought it. It's 8yrs old with 77,000+miles.

Sharon - I hope Charlie perks up for you. Did you say how old he is?

I'm very tired now. Gonna head to bed.
Good night all!

tomorrow will be my geography test, now that one, I'll be surprizse if I pass it. Some of the stuff I just don't get.. and it a boring class.
stuff that just don't interst me at all. LOL

things are still not good with dd and her dd, and I'm concern, but leaving it in the GOD's hands.

tonight in cermanic we started working on the coil bottles. Nice thing about this class it's fun, and the teacher doesn't mind helping you if she knows you want to learn and willing to learn. Thank goodness.

This weekend I will be working on my speech.

Donna praying for you and your dh and his doctors. Do you have a contact here at FC?

Thank you all for the birthday wishes for Jeremiah. Yesterday my aunt and uncle from Tx stopped by. The kids had a blast with them. They know what 'dad' is doing and are upset. Trying to step in and be family for us. Love them to pieces!! Jasmine said aunt wasn't all the way up the front step and she was reaching to Jasmine for a hug. I am in tears telling you how happy it made my kids. Sounds like the feeling was mutual. I will call them today. Maybe try to get together before they go home.

Dval praying for your dh to get better.

Bluebird so glad you had a nice visit with your aunt and uncle.

Bar Bar good luck with the test.

Dh went to the vfw last night gave the paperwork to 1 of the guys. Talked to a few of the post members before they went in the meeting. He didn't stay to talk to the District Commandor. He is happy that it is all over. He will never step back in that building again. He said he still has all the Home Assoc. paperwork he packed in a box. When and if they ask for it he will give it to them. But he will not volunteer it. He wants them to realize how much he really did that he never got credit for. They will have to come ask for stuff when the licenses start running out and they don't know what or how to do them.

Not much else going on here.

Joy, I am very sad to hear about the car accident, it is so easy to forget how good a seat belt can be and then we get sad reminders…

Dval – I’m with you, completely starved for some good snow! Only I think you were saying it tongue in cheek and I am completely serious, yes, we’ve always known I am nuts…ohyikes, now I’ve read your post about your dh! Of course he is in my/our prayers!

Sammi, pretty neat about the car part, acts of kindness are so welcome

Connie, is it possible that he is beginning to regret that selfishness and is trying to come around, he did come by and spend a few minutes with your dd, something that probably might not have happened a few years ago, or why am I not understanding your dad’s motives?

Things are pretty much the same here, consumed by work/class/and missing my dds off at school (even though they are in the same town).

Donna, sorry to hear your hubby is in the hospital he and your family are in my prayers.

Well, hubby wasn't feeling to well today, so he stayed home from work. Other than that all is good here. Enjoying temperatures only in the 70's which is great. Hope everyone has a good day.

Ellen no one understands my father!!! He came over because I told him he forgot dd's birthday. It was three weeks ago. I do think he would like to change but gf says differently. He has no spine. I have told the kids I will not remind grandparents about birthdays again so this year is it. If they can't remember thier grandchildrens birhtdays then I won't be reminding them. I am also not sending birthday cards to our parents anymore. Dad chewed me out last spring because I didn't get gh and mothers day gift and card. I do not think so. If I don't listen to everything she shreeks about, tell her how wonderful she and her family are, then she wants nothing to do with me. Of course I point out that dad spends all his time with his new family. That he has dumped his family for something else. I don't want to listen to how wonderful her family is. I know her family, have for many years. I get along well with her daughters. Dad version of being a good dad is noticing the daughters after he has put them high up on a shelf to look at and take down to admire. He is messed up in the head. They both live in a world they have created. Cheers to the rose colored glasses!

I am getting the fall cleaning bug!!! Badly. I would love to tear the kitchen apart today but the kids are decorating the birthday cake. I am not allowed to cook the dinner or bake or decorate the cake anymore. They tell me I have had the fun for years it is their turn now.

Hi ladies!
DonnaMarie so glad you made it safe to Fla., "enjoy" the GK's, post some pics if you get a chance, still Praying for you and John.
Donna(dval) so sorry to hear about your dh, Prayers going up for him as well, I do hope its a simple fix for him, we always tend to think the worst, you cant help it.
Connie Happy Belated bday to your son, I must have missed the post somewhere, along with a few others lol, I sort of just skimmed the posts to try and catch up here. Glad your Aunt and Uncle visited, and glad the kids enjoyed it. I have that "fall cleaning bug too" it must be going around, lol, Darryl put up 3 new shelves for me over the bay windows in the living room, (I didnt want to be in the room when he was doing it lol) since he had to kind of curve them, it was a little harder to do, then with a straight shelf,I was expecting to hear him cursing , but I never heard anything lol, and they came out real nice!I have some chocolate brown eyelet lace sheers, I bought and never hung, actually they are panels, so gonna see how they look, Im trying to "not" buy anthing new just use what I have stored around here, and trust me its alot, lol. I have found things I forgot I had ,I bought on clearance sales last year, including a pair of "fake" Ugg boots, lol, and I was just looking at some in Sears, good thing I didnt buy them.
Well time to finish getting dinner ready, more later hUgs

Thank you everyone for the prayers. You guys are the best!
We don't know anything more on hubby. Why do men dislike asking doctors questions? He saw a kidney dr this morning. The sent him for a sonogram but he never asked the dr if his kidneys were showing improvement. Grrr! Men! He also saw an internist (for the calcium). The only thing he retained from his conversation with that dr was that the calcium was being flushed out by the I.V. fluids. He did not ask if it was fast enough. They are measuring kidney output vs input. They did some more blood work today. I told him to ask some questions tomorrow. I might try to find out details by calling the dr myself. I don't see him returning home for a few more days.

ellenmelon - Oh no...I was completely serious about the snow. I'm a-waitin'....

I am so tired. It took forever for me to fall asleep last night. Head was going a mile a minute. PT appt for me tomorrow a.m. Tomorrow night I'm meeting the ladies from bowling for dinner.

Time for me to get to bed. Good night all!
