Just popping in.....we had a terrible thunder storm power was flickering.....

Tomorrow i am off to see my oldest at cadet camp. It is the annual sunset ceremony that the cadets put on. It is as good as any adults ceremony. Ryan has tried out for and made the 100 guard which is the cadets/soldiers who stand at attention and shoot off rifles at certain points during the ceremony. He seems really excited about making this drill team. I am very proud of him and worried that i may be a puddle of tears watching....he will seem so grown up to me!!! He has been gone for 5 weeks now.

We will also celebrate Jamie my MS's 13th birthday!!! yikes how did I end up with 2 teenagers...am I that old????? He should be happy we bought him tickets to go see ACDC with a friend and us on mon night. His grandpa...my dad sent him and his dad a 4 hour ATV adventure ride through a company called Top of the Mountain....sounds like a lot of fun!!!

So i will catch up with you all next week before I head away again next fri to pick Ryan up and bring him home and then have a week of holidays.

Had a busy day today looking for another car to buy. First we were going to get a smaller car but after driving the rental decided to go back to a larger one.

Stopped at the local Ford dealer to check out their resales. They seemed to be doing a brisk business selling new cars.
The insurance company did call this morning to tell us how much the car was worth. Did price comparing and decided to get another used 2002 Grand Marquis. It is white and in beautiful condition. Lucky to find one with low mileage. DH did take a test drive through town with the salesman. He felt relaxed and which was important in a larger car. I am glad we both could put the accident behind us and could go on with our life.

Took out an extended warranty for two years for peace of mind. We will be picking up the car tomorrow. The salesman was very nice and not pushy.

TGIF! I hope everyone has a terrific weekend.

I was ready to have a breakdown yesterday as I was working the phones trying to find an oral surgeon that will take my DGS and Medicaid. I cannot depend on my DD. I called a CPS investigator in my town who is a colleague of mine who gave me custody papers to see if my DD would sign them through December and not tell her that I can get permanent custody at that time. But, CPS FINALLY called and said the investigator will be at my home this afternoon with an updated agreement. Ours expires at midnight on Monday. I have been calling and calling and I had to finally contact her supervisor to get this done. I said that I cannot make an ARD meeting for DGS at school or anything else after Monday. So, she is supposed to call before she comes in case I am out picking children up from school. Hopefully, things are looking up. DD doesn't seem to think she needs to get a car. How is she going to get the children to school and back and to the doctor's office and so on. CPS may be making another meeting for DD and SIL to explain the rules AGAIN, but I doubt DD will be able to attend since she has no vehicle to get there.

You know fall is coming fast when the shop tech reminded me that the bucks only have three more weeks until their racks are fully grown out for the year…
