Wierdly I think it's "I'm Sorry" and or "Thank-You". People tend to assume if they say sorry whatever they did intentionally doesn't count. Thank-you is said alot in conversations w/o anything bein done to deserve it. When something actually does need a thanks it becomes like the kid crying wolf. I'm all for politeness but when used properly. THANKS for listenin ! and I'M SORRY if I offended anyone !LOL
PS: Guess I miss read the question, I didn't answer my person over used word or phrase. It can't be printed ...... but I'm trying to clean it up and set a better example.

I know some one who ends each sentence with "and that", it's so annoying!

My dh has a habiof saying "And thats all she wrote" drives me nuts. One time he said it, I asked, "Honey, who is she and what did she write?" He got mad. But I laughed.

I say oh yeah a lot.
Everytime we go somewhere, dh will say "and we're off. " When we get back he'll say "here we are again."
He also says "right" way too often.

Over used word:
Sorry.
Not I am sorry, just "Sorry"
Does not matter if I did anything or not...It stems from my childhood (forming years).

Over used Statement:
What do you want ______?" (to do / go do/ go get, etc). I am always looking for others input / ideas / decision sharing, and yes sometimes I am bored and or indecisive. If I am indecisive and the other person is indecisive too - I tend to do a lot of mind changing in process. Yesterday is a prime example... DH wanted to do something, so did I, and neither of us knew what. So we went for a drive (out of Port Orchard), I had an idea but I did not want to take our Toll Bridge (new Tacoma Narrows Bridge to I-5 / Cascade Mountains), and another bridge is still closed for repairs (Hood Canal, which leads to west COASTAL peninsula and Olympic Mountains))... After about 5 yes FIVE Scenic drives I finally gave up and picked a destination - Olympia (via scenic back roads). More precise Black Bear Diner. Then on our way back we decided to detour to one of the only local Sonic's for dessert (Puyallup). Then instead of staying at a camping site / hotel (which we brought emergency supplies for), we drove back home.
