Tongue Any Twilight Fans Here?

Okay, I have to admit that I am, indeed, guilty as charged as to being obsessed with Twilight. Both my daughter and I have watched the movie about a thousand times since we purchased it. I am a sucker for the Cullens clan. Plus, I recently started reading the books (yeah, I'm a lil late) and they are sooooo good. Love them! I was just wondering if I'm the only Twilight lover here?

No, you aren't the only one! I finished reading twilight the day before opening night. I bought tickets a week before and took 2 dd's and a friend.
I have to say that after reading the book (fantastic) the movie was kind of a let down. Not a lot, but some.
I have read all the books and am now awaiting the rest of the movies. I just hope they follow the books more closely.

I just ordered the book for my son. It's the hottest book in his school right now. Our library has 99 holds on 23 of the books right now!

We always try to wait to see the movie after the book has been read. I plan on reading it, too.

Has anyone heard if there will be movies for the other books as well?

You will enjoy it, it is an easy read and keeps you interested. You may be dissapointed to see the movie, as it doesn't follow the book very closely. The girls in the theatre went from vibrating with excitement to what happened!? It was a good movie though.

I know that New Moon is being shot right now, and hopefully it will be closer to the books story line. We are really looking forward to it.

I read the first book and saw the movie. I now have the second book to read. I always read the book before seeing the movie. Dd and I go to the movie together. I gotta say I am hooked.

my gd loves it! she's read three of the books and my dd got the movie through netflix and she watched it a couple of times. My gd doesn't know it but she's getting the movie for Easter. she got a poster of Jason??, not the main guy-they were out of them, but she was happy anyway.
I'll probably end up watching the movie and getting her the first book for her collection-she had borrowed the first one, I bought her the second one (for a good report card) and her mom bought the third one.

Sounds like I am the only one who didn't like the book or the movie.

Thumbs up Twilight

I agree with you on the part about the book being better than the movie. I have read all 4 books and am hoping that they will make movies out of all of them. I did hear that the first movie was made on a shoestring budget. They didn't expect it to be as big a hit as it was. The second one is supposed to be better.

Several years ago, my daughter discovered "Twilight" and I became concerned when she said "Mom, I wish I was a vampire" LOL I of course, read the book, and became totally entranced with the characters. We have since read New Moon and Breaking dawn, as well as Stephanie Meyer's "The Host" which is not part of the Twilight series, but a very good book.. I haven't seen the Twilight movie, and my daughter was very disappointed with it because the characters and locations she had in her imagination were "better than what that director came up with" .. I would like to see the movie,a nd I hope there is another book in the series!

My son said the exact same thing once he saw the movie after reading the book. I told him that the best movie he will ever see will be in his head while reading a good book! Also, that a movie will never be the same as he has pictured.

He finished reading New Moon and is looking forward to the movie. A group of girls that he is friends with asked him to go to opening night with him. Last year in school he was 1 of only a handful of boys in his school that was reading this series. This year he said that there are several boys reading the books. (Think they are realizing that it's a great way to get a girl's attention??? )

I hope that the second movie is better than the first.
