Welcome to February everyone!!! The month most of us celebrate with those we love on Valentines day Do you do anything special for that day??? We have a nice family dinner and usually a cool dessert but no gifts. Hubby sometimes will buy me flowers but I asked him to cut back...1 red rose is just as nice as 12...... We will also celebrate my oldest 15th birthday later this month. My month will be very busy with junior curling. Our club has their bonspiel next weekend so my time will be spent at the club all weekend.
So do you have any special plans for the month
Hugs debbie

DeBora, I was ROFL when you said your DH will watch the halftime show now. I doubt Bruce Springsteen will have a "wardrobe malfunction" and if he does, it's not like your DH will be interested
I watched them sing the patriotic songs just now, and as for the rest of the game, I don't care. I've got books to read and a computer to play on, LOL!
Barb, even if ol' Bruce's wardware malfunctions, women aren't usually likely to enjoy the show as much as men enjoy the show when women's parts are exposed. lol I guess that means the Super Bowl has already started. I threatened to call my diehard NFL/Dallas Cowboy's fan during the Super Bowl. She called me during races during the last NASCAR season 3 times, during critical times, like when I was listening to Bobby's radio transmission right after a wreck. Well, since I have the psychological training and experience in training during childhood, I used the old "mess with your head game" with her. I told her that I was going to wait until Dallas was playing and I was going to wait until they were about to score a touchdown and I was going to call her. She has since told me that every time they go to score a touchdown, she just knows that I am going to call her! She has since figured out that I am only teasing and her fear of me calling was punisment enough. lol
NASCAR season starts, unofficially next Saturday! I swear this has been the LONGEST off-season ever between Bobby not having a ride for most of it, DH being transferred, DD situation, contractor situation, and so on. Now I have something to look forward to on the weekends to get me through the tough weeks.
Valentine's Day is my favorite holiday, but DH will be in Oklahoma, so I won't be able to celebrate the way I'd like. He sent me a picture message to my email today of him "hard at work." I thought I'd share. LOL
Well, I thought I was finished with my homework, but I am not. I had made an appointment for a person to take the MMPI tomorrow, so I checked that class off my "to-do" list without realizing that I hadn't done my homework! There is more to that class than giving assessments and writing reports! So, I now have half my reading done. Now, I need to do the rest of my reading so that I can write my paper.
Dh is watching the game. I watched them sing and saw the planes fly over.
I am going to cut up the veggies for the tacos now. I will watch the half time show if it is any good and maybe some of the commericals.
Hi to everyone.

Dh has a friend over tonight. They are watching the game. I can hear it from here. I wouldn't mind seeing a wardrobe malfuntion on BRUCE!!!! I better make sure I watch the half time show.
I made all kinds of food for tonight. I even made a football cake out of cupcakes. Dh saw one at the store and wanted to buy it. I told him no way for $8 was he going to buy cupcakes. He was thrilled to death when he saw mine looked better then the one at the store!!!
Well the girls finally go back to school tomorrow. It is the last day of finals for them. Then the new marking period starts on Tuesday.
Evansville Indiana had a severe ice storm hit and we lost our power late tuesday and finally it is back on today Feb. 1. I think there were about 75,000 people without power in Evansville.
Our city as well as Kentucky was declared a "State of Emergency". We take electricity for granted and when it is gone it is such a hardship.
Thank you to the ones who mentioned my near fall. Yes it was very scary and my heart was pumping a bit harder. My hip is doing better than earlier today. Still not pain free but could be worse.
Well Adam is home and the Steelers won. Since the Cardinals had not won a Super Bowl he was hoping they would win. NOW had the Philly Eagels been playing he would have wanted them to win no matter who else was in the game.
Tami I know you are happy
