Our family has several words that are our favorites - My father always said "What in the Sam Hill?" & "By George!!!" That is what I say whenever I get irritated or upset - We have a satellite radio & I listen to Radio Classics alot - I was listening to the Great Gildersleeve & he said both of those things!!! It must have been something from the "Good Ole Days!!!"
Yes Kim "what in sam hill" for sure is an old sayinf. I also say it now and then. Lots of words out there from "yesterday" My dad use to refer to all things he could not think of correct name right away as "gizmo" I find myself doing the same thing
