Do you own an IPOD, MP3 player or other musical device like this?
Do you own an IPOD or an MP3 player? Maybe you use your or some other device to listen to music?
They are all the rage right now.... Have you joined in on the fun or does it drive you crazy to see adults and children walking around with wires hanging from their ears?
If you own one, what do you listen to? How often do you upload new music?
I'm from the generation when we didn't need all these new gadgets and I still feel this way. The computer is about as modern as I will ever be, I love music but am satisfied to just listen to it on a regular radio when I'm doing housework or driving the car. I find IPOD'S to be annoying especially when you are trying to get the attention of an individual who has the ear phones in their ears and cell phones can also be annoying. Just give me the simple life. Shirl43
I don't have any of those but do have a portable cassette play with ear bud BUT like some one else said can not stand those in my ears so got speakers that can be plugged into the player and can take it to any room I am in to listen to my old cassettes.

My daughter got a Zune last year for Christmas. She wears the thing all of the time. I have my eye on a phone that has a MP3 player on it, but I have not purchased it yet.
I have an MP3 player. I bought it two years ago with Christmas money because I was getting ready to take a 4-hour train ride. I'm surprised it's lasted this long because it wasn't a really expensive one and it's usually stuffed in the bottom of my backpack.
I spend a lot of time on buses and walk a lot so I realy do enjoy using it. I don't upload music that often. Unfortunately I can't use any of the pay services (it doesn't hold those), I can only burn CDs onto my computer and then put them on the MP3 player. But it works for me.
My son has the Fisher-Price version so we'll listen to our music on bus rides home and relax.

I got myself an iPod so I could upload past chem lectures and listen to them, and the earbuds for my computer because I will be in a shared area soon for my desk.
The good surprise is that with earbuds I can hear all kinds of things in the music that with my bad hearing I can't hear otherwise. It was a real wakeup for me! There is so much going on in a movie that I now prefer to watch with earbuds and subtitles.
Problem is that I still don't know how to use the iPod. Better learn this weekend, classes start on Monday.
