I just finished Dark Pursuit, by Brandilyn Collins. Very intense, bordering on a little scary, but enjoyed it. I don't recommend it as a bedtime read, though! I have started Back to Life, by Kristen Billerbeck. I love her books.
Take care!

Deb, The Dewey book sounds like something I would like to read. I enjoy reading books about cats and if it is funny that is even better.

This past week I read Testimony by Anita Shreve. Boy, that one was disturbing. Mostly because you could really picture it happening. It was the story of a sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl at an exclusive prep school. The book was well written but every chapter, a new narrator which made me nuts.

After that I needed a break so I read Twenty Wishes by Debbie Macomber. It is in the "Good Yarn" series. It was a sweet story.

Now I'm reading Escape by Carolyn Jessop. It is the true story of a woman's escape from a polygamous Mormon community.

DebK, I just love the Dewey book. I bought it for my mil for Christmas so she could read it too.

I am still reading The Reader. Will probably finish it soon.

I've been trying to get into "The Santuary" by Raymond Khoury. I don't seem to have the time to sit any read, maybe if they would take reruns of NCIS off it would help, LOL

I am also reading the Bible. I am following a daily reading guide that gets you through the Bible in a year. I don't always make it in a year, though! I normally read the King James Version, but this time I am reading the New International Version. It makes for easier reading. I am glad to have it. I also sometimes refer to the Amplified Version. It is amazing that each time you read through, you find that new things jump out at you.

I just today picked up Full Tilt by Janet Evanovich. Our supermarket has a used book table, thats where I found it, all donations for the books you pick up go to the food pantry. I love her Stephanie Plum series, hope this is as good.

I picked up the first two books in the Sookie Stackhouse series by Charlaine Harris. DH and I got hooked on True Blood on HBO which is based on this series. I can't wait to get started reading it!

I did finished Nickled and Dimed. I liked it and found it very interesting. I found it quite ironic that while she was employed at Wal-Mart, she thought that a marked down Wal-Mart shirt at $7 was too much for her budget to handle.
I read Plum Spooky also. I always enjoy a Janet Evanovich book, they are fun.
I also read Luann Rice's Summer Light. It was a light read and I enjoyed the story.
I am reading Glen Beck's The Christmas Sweater and have Greg Kincaid's A Dog Named Christmas waiting next. As you can see I didn't quite get done with my Christmas book pile before the season ended.
Happy reading all.
