Finished two books this weekend. East of Eden, by John Steinbeck ( I am not a fan of his work, too dark & Depressing for me)

Garden Spells by Sarah Addison Allen. This book is very light and humorous. It has to do with a family that has a crazy apple tree. This is a great read for the weekend.
I do have to admit, I belong to a bookclub at the local library and the these books were on our read list for October and November.

I am reading The Way The Crow Flys by Ann-Marie McDonald. I haven't gotten very far into the book. I hope it gets more interesting since it is a long book.

Bernice, John Steinbeck is one of my favorite authors. I started in high school reading Of Mice and Men and got hooked and have now read almost every single one of his books. They can be kind of depressing, though, especially The Grapes of Wrath.

Just started My 3 Margarets by Louise Shaeffer picked it up at the library on way out of area with Susie for our b'day time together. Also looked thro' part of her paperbacks (that belonged to her dear Mom) and have chosen several to take home with me. Will hopefully get them read before our Christmas get together (just a day to exchange gifts and eat out) if not will just give them back to her sometime later.
The Christmas Train sounds good and I like David B too.
Happy Reading all

I am getting ready to start The Summer Kitchen, by Lisa Wingate. Will have to let you know if it's a good one.
Take care!
