Theresa, those titles all sounds like really good books. Will be interested to hear how you like them.

I just read The Letters by Joseph Monninger and Luanne Rice. good but not as good as I expected. Read Silent Nothing by Amanda Bartz who wrote the book when she was 14. Not that impressed - the book jumped around all over the place and I found a lot of grammatical errors or spelling errors and not sure if they were left in there by the editors on purpose or what but it was irritating to a former English major. Also just finished I Am Not Esther by Fleur Peale which was a young adult novel my dd read and asked me to read. It was interesting but definitely a teen novel. (a young girl sent to live with a strict religious cult for a few months) Now I am trying to figure what book to read next!

I have a couple of books going right now. I am just about done with my book discussion book, The Will of Wisteria by Denise Hildreth.
I am listening to a children's book in my car. It is Here Lies the Librarian by Richard Peck. I couldn't resist the title.
Waiting on my to read pile is The Trial of Alex Cross by James Patterson. I am on a Patterson kick right now and just finished Double Cross and Cross Country.

I just started reading annawesome book. It is titled Ada Blackjack - The True Story of Survival in the Artic" which is about an eskimo woman (yes, in this book they use the term eskimo rather than Inuit) who goes with an arctic expedition team to an island in the early 1900's and is the only member of the team to survive. It is very well written.

Pattti, I thought they were still called eskimos too untiol I started reading this book. In the preface of the book they explain why they still use the term eskimo thoughout the book rather than Inuit

Guess I am old fashion in a lot of ways. Took me forever to say Blacks rather than Negroes or Colored. Heck I still say Colored now and then. I had a dear friend who was more light chocolate and she did not like the term Black. She would hold out her arm and ask is this black. She has been gone 20 yrs now and still miss her a lot.
