Woke up this morning and no heat. Good thing it gets warmer in the afternoons low 70s. Called the service company that I have a contract with and they came within the hour. Will have to wait for the part now. Since it is Friday will not be until next week.
I was just saying to DH yesterday like to have the ceramic heaters available in case the heater goes out. When you start cleaning out closets have to remember where you move things.
Always have trouble in Dec or Jan. when we first start using it. It is always the same thing an electric glowbar that ignites with the gas.

Started writing my Xmas cards last night will keep working on them today and get it done.

DeBora ....Sorry to hear about your DD and Grandkids. Glad they are coming to stay with you.
Barbszy...Love the photo of your children. Thanks for the info about red eye.

DH just came home with some dandelion greens that still have the roots on them.. Maybe I can plant them indoors in the inclosed porch to have for the winter. They are supposed to be very healthy cleans out toxins.
Hello to everyone.

Sandie, I hope this Christmas isn't too hard. I know those firsts are difficult.

Theresa, I hope things go well for you and Glen.

Sammi, I am such a Grinch when it comes to any type of shopping so I completely understand.

Barb, that photo almost appears to be an old photo. It has a unique look.

Sueanne, I hope you get some heat today. I know it is very cold here in West Texas and I can't image doing without heat.

DD called this morning and wanted to make sure I didn't tell the school why the kids were staying with me. I told her that I wouldn't lie, but I wouldn't offer information. The school as well as CPS has told others what I have said, so I don't offer information anymore. Besides, they give Summer a week to take a urine drug test and they warn her what day they are going to call so she can be at her mil's house to be "home" when they call. I figure if CPS is that stupid or if the law is that lax, then there is nothing I can do about it. I am sure it is a matter of time before the grown-up kids lose their car again for lack of payment. They have GPS tracking and a "thingy" to shut off the engine when they miss a payment. DH had originally wanted to co-sign on the loan and this is why I put my foot down. Until they straighten up their lives and both are willing to work and stay clean and sober, they aren't going to be able to pay their bills and we can't afford to pay them.

Yes, I am willing to take the kids temporarily. But, we would have to make it official so that I have LEGAL guardianship. That way, I would be able to make medical decisions for them and I could put them on my insurance and not have to pay 100% of everything. Also, I would put DGS in speech therapy and put these kids on a schedule.

I have a difficult take-home exam from intellectual assessment. Plus, I have another difficult exam on Tuesday night. I told my DD that I needed as much advance notice as possible as to when I would have to keep the kids. My group is getting together Sunday afternoon to finish our exam. I may have to get my DD to come over and watch the kids as I would rather them not go back to that motel.

On a good note, the NASCAR awards are tonight. I'll probably watch until Jimmie Johnson gets his award and change the channel before then. Petty is supposed to merge with Gillette, and still no word on sponsors or crew chief. Tomorrow morning, we have to be in Midland, 30 mintues away, to have breakfast with Santa. I don't look forward to getting up so early, but I bet we ALL take a nap. lol

DeBora, that motel is no place for children for sure. I hope you can get legal custody of them on a temporary basis until the parents can get control of their life. As you know they will have to hit rock bottom before realizing they need help.
The dgk's will so enjoy breakfast with Santa.
Dgd will so enjoy the Nutcracker. How wonderful if she could be in it next year.

Sueanne, sorry you have no heat. I hope the part comes in soon.

Barbszy, great pic of your children. My photo program can take red eye out of colored pictures. Is there a red eye icon anywhere in your program?

Sandi, I couldn't help but laugh at the thought of you walking around with a marshmellow on the back of your jeans.

Felicia, sorry to hear you have computer problems. I had a little trouble with mine loading this morning.

Joy, I'm so glad the surgery went well. That would be wonderful if dh doens't need follow up treatment.

Linda, I too forget where I put stuff. Dh does too. He puts something away and then tells me to remember where he put it. I always ask him if he actually thinks I will remember. LOL

Sammi, getting your tree sounds like a fun day. I remember getting the tree with my parents.

Donna-Marie fired John's GP dr. She got so upset. First the dr told her she wasn't doing enough for John, then dr told her she was doing too much. The dr wants John to have a needle biospy on that tumor in the lung. She wants him to have chemo or radiation if it is cancer. John doesn't want any of that. Then she told John he has made up his mind that he wants to die. So to shut her up John said he would. When they left John told Donna-Marie no way was he going to do any of that.
These things are between John and his lung dr. Donna-Marie told the GP that she was suppose to be taking care of John's general health and his diabetic problem.

We will be going grocery shopping this afternoon. And will go out for a fish fry this evening. I need to get a present for ds also.

Hi to everyone.

Sharon the worst part of the marshmallow stuck to my jeans, ( it was stuck on the back of my thigh) was Darryl didnt say anything to me, andafter we left their house we went out to eat. So the whole time I was walking up and back to the buffet, it was there, he HAD to have seen it, and he said he didnt lol. MEN!!
Actually just popped in to say , I was sitting here thinking earlier, how I need to get out of this depressed mood, so I went over to Walmart, and when I walked in the front door, they had a whole display of
ELMO LIVE if you havent seen it, this one talks like the real Elmo, he walks, crosses his legs moves his arms and isabsolutely adorable!!! I was hooked, lol so guess what Caitlyn is getting?? I dont want to tell Darryl right away how much it was though, a little pricy I thought at $60. We were just saying how we have to take it easy on gifts this year, but thats all I will get for her, (yeah right) lol. My 2 older GD's want all GC's this year so they can do thier own shopping, so they will be easy. My dd bought each of them a laptop, (they have no idea about that yet).
I feel bad for Donna Marie and John, it must be so hard,Im glad at least the cards cheered him some.
DeBora have f un with Santa tomorrow, get some pix!! I have to go and start dinner, have a nice weekend all, Im not too sure if I will get achance to stop in, this is the last weekend we have to finish at my moms (all the packing and things). HUGS

Sandie a marshmallow stuck on your butt...Sorry but it sounds so funny...Glen would have done the same thing, not said a word about it...Oh a new Elmo for Caitlyn, she will love it...

DeBora have a blast tomorrow with your dgk's and Santa...I hope your dd and sil realize that if anything happens to the kids in your care you cannot get them medical treatment...I hope they will sign a paper giving you and your dh temporary custody...

Joy I am so happy your dh's surgery is over...keeping you both in my prayers...

Sammi don't you just love whiny kids...lol...our oldest grandson Alex can be very whiny and Grandma does not have the patience at all any more...lol...Have fun shopping with your dh...Grinch sorry I had to laugh at him being called Grinch...My kids used to call me Scrooge because I really disliked Christmas for a long time...

Sharon thank you for the updates on John and Donna Marie...I don't blame her one bit for firing his doctor...I sure hope things get easier for them...Prayers continue

Sueanne sorry to read that you have no heat...I didn't think it got that cold in Florida...Does it??? Hope you have heat very soon...

Barbszy I can just see marshmallows every where Christmas day...lol...Great picture of your children...

Felicia sorry to hear Mr.PooPoo was there and messed up your computer...I was sure the little jerk followed me to Winnipeg this morning...because if anything could go wrong it did today...I think I left him standing on St.Mary's Road scratching his head...

Well my appointment was not good and I am still trying to comprehend everything the doctor told me...The cancer has spread,he explained that is why my chest feels like someone is sitting on it and won't get off...I have to have another CT Scan done next week to see how much my liver has been affected...and if it has spread to any other organs...He told me that I may have a year...Sure does not seem like much time does it...But just think how much fun I can have in that year...Not funny but I refuse to cry any more...both Glen and I had our break down together today...so from now on everyone along with me...The crazy lady in Northwestern Ontario...My doctor told me that whatever I am doing to keep doing it...Oh that just leaves me way to much room to get into trouble...I told him he was asking for trouble telling me that...lol

Hope everyone has a wonderful and happy day

Smiles & hugs...

Theresa I am sorry for the bad news. Truly I am. I love your attitude though. Chin up girl, your middle name is fiesty and your 2nd middle name is miracle!

My computer is in the shop. I told my DH I thought that it was over heated and that it melted the heater core thingamajiggy. Of course he said I didn't know what I was talking about and guess what Mr computer guy said... he said he thinks it over heated...

Sandie I was giggling like a school girl picturing you walking around with a marshmallow on your butt. LOL Why is it these things are so darn hysterical when it's not happening to you??

Sueanne I don't know how I missed that you didn't have heat. I guess Mr Poo Poo hit us both. I don't have my heat on in my house but we do use our fireplace when we are cold. Daytime is nice but at night it gets a little chilly.

Best wishes to all
Felicia
