I think the stretchy straps don't hold you up.

The best bras at WalMart are the boxed bras. JMS and Playtex.

I have been impressed with the microfiber bras that I purchased this year. It's hard to find a bra without underwires in it (underwires are SO uncomfortable and I am a lot less curvy than those of you who have shared your size...) I thought the microfiber bras would be very hot in the summer but that's not the case.

I buy my bras in Walmart they have them on the racks and are very reasonable. They are wide in the back with three hooks and elastic straps on the shoulder. I wear a 42C which they run out of right away. Like to buy them in different colors not always white. The brand is simply basics and they fit me perfect Like their cupid undies for stomach
support. The elastic holds you firm.

My plunge bras/t-shirt are kinda moulded/thicker, I like these as when it's cold it doesn't show what it shouldn't through a shirt.
I always wash in a lingerie bag, always in cold water and hang over the clothes line from the middle, no pegs or peg marks.

I wear a 38C now that I lost all my weight. I have had a hard time finding a supportive bra. I have never liked underwire either but need to wear them now because I need the extra support. I found this style is very good at holding me in and up. And the underwire surprisingly doesn't dig in at all. I bought a bunch when they had a "buy 2 get 2 free" sale. I love them!

When I was looking into getting "sized" I found out that a proper fitting bra should hold you up without the straps. The straps only give stability and tiny bit of support. You can read this article for help in figuring your size. And this article does a good job of explaining the types of bras and their support. Here is another one that mentions the straps giving only 10% of the support.

Sorry for babbling on....

I'm a 42DD and have had trouble finding bras, I hate bra shopping with a passion! I agree, either Playtex or Bali. I am going to go and get fit properly though pretty soon, probably this week. I am used to underwire now, need the support.

Also, I don't dry my bras, they get washed in cold water and hung over a hanger to dry, as well as I keep them hooked, that way they don't snag anything!

I don't dry my bras in the dryer either. They lasts much longer that way.

Donna thanks for the tips on bras!! I have a hard time since I am 36 around but a F cup.

Thanks for sharing the article Donna.

I also hate bra shopping. Different brands, different sizes and so on.....

I really don't care for underwires at all. I try to avoid wearing them but sometimes do. I have pretty much given up on my pretty, lacey girly bras. LOL

I wear a 38D, my second to oldest daughter is really big busted and she likes the Caique(not spelled right) from Lane Bryant. I like the Playtex 18 hour bras and I usually get them when on sale at Kmart.
