These dolls are being made and donated to the Disney Children's Hospital. The dolls are personalized
by young cancer patients as they go through treatment.When they get the doll, patients are asked to give it a name and a face,based on their feelings. Each doll wears a hospital gown that opens in the back. The children relate to the doll in many ways. Each child get to take the dolls home, but at the hospital they are used for therapeutic play.
They plan to teach other women how to make the "me dolls" with hopes that they too, will take on the prouect in order to provide as many dolls as possible to local hospitals for the children who can beneftit from them.
Any other group or individuals that are interested in helping making the Me Dolls can email a request for the pattern.
