DeBora: Happy Birthday Bonte

No, I was lucky to have today off!

Sammi: I am sure it was hard to let go of that piece of your grandmother, it would be hard for me to get rid of my Grandfather's police hat, even though I never wear it.

Theresa: I hope you hear from Glen soon.

Barrbszy, I'm glad it was a squirrel that ran over your foot. I thought you were going to say a snake slithered over your foot.

This little guy across the street reminded me of Adventure Boy.
I don't know of any teacher has said anything or tried to do anything to take that kid some clothes.

Sammi, the bad thing about the 911 call is if that woman actually was in trouble and hollared for help, nobody in the neighborhood would call 911 now. I saw her after yesteday and again today when I painting the porch floor and I really had to concentrate on my painting.

Theresa, I hope you hear from Glen soon.

Welcome Gwen to the friendship thread. Glad to have you join us.

Buck is grilling steaks, potatos, peppers, onions & mushrooms and he says it's ready.

Be back later.

Karen, love the pictures!! Luke would have a blast at your place--puppies, turkeys, chickens! Actually, DD would like it even more

Theresa, I hope you get some good news from Glen re the skin graft soon. By now your cousin should be here. I love that song "You're Gonna Miss This" as well.

Sammi, I know what you mean about the chair. But think about this--would your grandmother want you keeping something that you don't love, don't use, and doesn't fit in your home? Or would she want you to give it to someone who could love it and use it? I'm sure you have other ways in which you honor your grandmother's memory and keep her in your heart.

DeBora, too bad you don't live close. I'd volunteer as a "test subject" for you. Hope you find a way to make that all go faster!

Today we went and visited some good friends for a cookout and swim. It was a nice time, but they are having a bunch of family trouble and we had NO idea. They said they wanted to let us know in person, not dump it on us over the phone. So I am very worried about all that is going on. It is going to be a rough time for them for a while.

Karen, we are all still laughing over the 911 call. Everytime I see her I will remember it.

For a turkey, he is rather handsome. Love the chickens.

Congrats to all the birthday people, annniversary and puppy birthdays.

Sammi, I know how you feel. I had a quilt that late dh's mother had made for him. We used it the 7 yrs we were together. He was using it before I knew him. It has been in a plastic bag for the last 10 yrs. It has to be dry cleaned and with 4 cats that would be often. Which is why I haven't used it. My ds has a dog which is why I didn't give it to him.
I finally gave it to GoodWill this past Sat. But I felt bad and guilty for giving it away.

Have a few more threads to go to, then it's back to the wrist braces until tomorrow.

Hi to everyone.

Barb, I am sorry that your friends are having problems. I hope things get better for them soon. I wish you lived closer too. lol

I have access to plenty of adults for the intelligence test. My biggest problem is going to be getting children between the ages of 6-16. My DGD is 5, but it doesn't matter. For the real tests that we will be doing, we cannot do family. I was able to do my SIL because I was making all kinds of mistakes practicing. I know that others have told me that the adults they know don't want to take it. I am sure the length and trouble of taking it makes people not want to take it if they don't have to. lol I will figure it out. I did talk to my DD's MIL and she said I could use her DD, who is 8 or 9. One of my DD's friend's told me that I might be able to use a couple of her kids. I will probably get some thank you treats for the kids.

Well, tomorrow I have a meeting before work and then work and then a meeting with one of my professors over the online subject pool software. Tomorrow night begins the long well of back-to-back 3 hour classes. I am concerned about tomorrow night's class as the rumor is that last time this professor taught it, the groups went into 11pm at night! I will say that the textbook mentions that a good group leader controls the group and does not let it go over. I WILL bring that up if these groups go over 9:45pm, which is when our class is scheduled to be over. One girl is thinking about dropping because of what she was told. I guess we'll see.
