Need Fundraising Ideas so DD Can Get a Service Dog!

www.peanutdog.com This will be a gift from heaven! I spoke to the trainer today. The dogs can be trained to sniff out 12 - 15 allergens. They have a. dog in training they feel will work for dd. The price is $9995.

Fundraisers! I am working on a concert with a dessert, coffee and smoothie bar. Two other friends are going to two different civic groups for us. I have a list of all the newspapers in our area plus the large newspapers in the state. I need to ask if anyone from Nebraska has recieved a peanut dog.

I have emailed everyone I can think of to ask for help with fundraising. Hopefully we can pull this all together for dd!

In my area, hoagie sales are big fund-raisers. Some area hoagie shops sell coupons to the organization for $2, but the hoagie costs $4. The organization sells the coupons for $3.50--people feel like they got a bargain on a $4 hoagie, and the organization gets a $1.50 profit on each coupon sold.

Connie our school had good luck with a trivia night....50 dollars a team...5 member teams......prize was a donation from the local radio and newspaper. We sold baked goods and all the money was profit......made about 1500 dollars.

I would check all service clubs...like cicitain, lions, kiwanis etc...they are usually good to give money...we got money for Jamies glasses from them.

What a bout a walk a thon, or rock a thon, or bike athon????

Will the kennel allow you to make payments?????

good luck it sounds like a wonderful program for your daughter!!

Hugs dEbbie

Thanks for all the wonderful ideas! Pray some people want to help us with all of this!

The kennel needs $3330 down to hold the dog. The rest needs to be paid when we get the dog.

I recieved another email from the trainer. They have a dog in the last stages of training now they feel this dog would be wonderful for dd. He is very smart and can handle knowing 12 -15 allergens.

I would also suggest a walk-a-thon, bike-a-thon.
Also some other ideas
-have people donate items & sell them on ebay. The profits would be donated to the fund helping to get the dog.
-If you are in an area where someone has a lake house or beachfront condo, they can donate a weekend away & you can sell raffle tickets
-See if you can organize a dinner. Alot of places, if approached properly, will donate food services. If you are members of a church, they may be able to assist.

I would utilize all your resources. If you have family or friends with talents or businesses, put those to work in your advantage to help raise money

My thoughts & prayers are with you

Dd picked out her dog. He is a spoodle. His name is Stuie.

Fund raisers are being planned. I need to type up a letter with his picture to hand out to people.

Good luck...hugs...

what about a group to sponsor a motorcycle run? my sister and hubby do them and donate proceeds to various charity organizations - for various individuals in need, etc.

let me keep thinking on this one.......maybe more idea's will come to mind.......

wishing you luck on this endeavor.
