Choosing Between Gif & Jpg Images!

Photographs and graphics with lots of colors that blend and fade into one another are best served by the JPG format. This format enables users to save images with millions of colors, while the GIF format is limited to 256 colors. If given the choice you cannot go wrong if you select JPG.
Compressing graphics with either format does not reduce the dimensions of a given image, it just reduces the overall size of a graphics file.

Sueanne--Thanks for the helpful information. I normally do pick a Jpeg file whenever possible, but now you have given me a good reason why.

Hi , Just dont choose JPEG over GIF , if its "animated", or you will lose your animation. All animations are GIFS. Hugs Sandie

When learning PSP stuff I was always told unless it's animated (GIF) use jpg it's easy to remember then.
