HoHoHo!!!! Merry Christmas!!! Welcome to December and the time of year when many of us celebrate the birth of Jesus . Many of us have special family traditions that we continue in our families, what are some of yours?? What makes this time of year special for you? Do you stay home for the holidays or do you pack up and travel to be with family and friends We will be staying home this year and have my 2 aunts come to visit and enjoy the many blessings of the season I love this time of year and just being with my family

Hugs Debbie

I can’t believe it is December already. Where oh where did the year go??
I hope all the sick kids start getting better. I have a healthy but crabby one here. Last night was the chorus & band show, her aunts had come for and so a late night , today it was a field trip. We are a family whodefinitely need their sleep.
I hope to finish the decorations & the
tree this weekend. My sil called and my db is on call Christmas so she is cooking again this year. Nice not to have to cook for the crowd but it is comfy not having to go out. I need to find some new appetizers for this year. My oldest is having her surgery after all. We are relieved since she is in pain. We are still waiting on the youngest‘s operation and my middle is finally getting to go to a specialist. Now she has to wait for an appointment. What I am wishing for Christmas is some healthy kids. Trust me now matter hold they get you still worry.
Prayers for Sammi this weekend,

No one is sick here but dd and I are crabbing at each other. I know I am nervous about getting so much done. The kids are trying to help out more. That is fine for now but I need to get them caught up in school. If I can't get the cds programed in tomorrow or tonight.I am calling for help.

I wonder how Sammi is doing tonight? After Christmas and New Years it will hit her hard. I think it should be a rule that no one dies in Nov and Dec. It makes it so much harder.

I too am thinking about Sammi. She had said that tomorrow would have been her mom's birthday, so they are not doing any funeral stuff tomorrow.

Sammi said this weekend would be very difficult for her. When was/is the funeral? Wasn't it today or yesterday?

Well, after a long week of preparation for our Open House at work, it was a pleasant success. I prepared 3 written pieces, one of which was a framed history. And then yesterday and today I helped my dd1 find a room and move out. It took 3 cars and 5 friends, a few pizzas, but in 2 hours it was done. The kicker: just as the kids were ready to leave the room, they happened to look in the fridge and there were two full bottles of rum in the freezer compartment. So my dd1 reported it to the authorities. She didn't want to get in trouble or blamed for it. The on duty RA came down from another floor and said that when he did his rounds last night that the room was very noisy. Asked if my dd1 was there, uh NO! My dd1 felt that in addition to the girl using her computer unauthorized (a no no at PSU), that breaking the rules by bringing in alcohol (another no no) was just too much. She felt that being put at risk so many times warranted a report. I think for all the money we paid in room and board, that it was just dues, for dd1 probably slept in the room maybe 14 times, going to her friends rooms to get rest as this roommate would come in at all hours drunk and with boys etc. I was surprised my dd1 waited so long to do anything. It is a bad story that just gets worse with the telling and so many have already said they know what it's like so let's let it rest now. She is home for the weekend, will sort through what she needs for the remaining 3 weeks, and look up the new roommate and talk with her before moving back in to the dorms. Housing will work with her on this which is a good thing especially considering the size of this university. There is a human face to buearocracy.

Wow Dec already. Where has 2007 gone??
My thoughts are with Sammi too, I know that this must be hard for her. My Mom's father died on Christmas Eve, it was very hard for my Mom and all of us to celebrate Christmas that year.
I hope that all of you here who celebrate Chistmas have a very happy holiday and for those of you who don't I still wish you a great month.
