Gloria, NYPD Blue was one of my favorite shows. i was so bummed when it ended. I think Jimmy Smitts death scene was heartbreaking!

I think Cane would have caught on more if it didn't get moved. The same thing with Friday Night Lights. I never thought I would like that show but started watching it and got hooked. If it doesn't get better ratings this season I am sure it will get cancelled.

Sammi, funny you should mention Friday Night Lights. I had heard this & found an article for you. Hope you have DirectV.

DIRECTV — Friday Night Lights

I liked NYPD Blue too and know a lot of people that were really upset when it got canceled I never watched West Wing. Jimmy Smitts is a really good actor

Jimmy in Cane reminds me of the Dexter character, they both do bad things but for the greater good that makes you have empathy for them.

Gloria, I don't have direct tv but read an article in our paper that Friday Night Lights will run on direct tv first then will come back on here mid- season. I hope that's true. I never thought I would like that show at all but watched it a couple times and got hooked.

Patti, I think Jimmy Smitts is a good actor too.

Kathy, what is Dexter about? The guy who plays Dexter was in Six Feet Under and was an incredible actor. I haven't watched Dexter yet so have no idea what it's about.

Sammi Dexter is a "gory" show some of the time and Dexter does "bad" things for "good" reasons. Don't want to say too much for those that have not seen it and want to watch it. I watched it on Demand TV over at Gina's but could have watched here at home but chose to watch with her

I watched Dexter a couple of times and thought it was gory. Too gory for prime time TV.

I saw Dexter on CBS- "cleaned up", less gory & @#** language removed. He is a blood splatter expert for the Miami police who is a serial killer of criminals. Here is an article about it & it mentions Jimmy Smits in the third season:

Dexter (TV series) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Spoiler Alert:

It does give the summaries of season 1 & 2.

I don't remember to much bad language and came mostly from his sis but could have been cleaned up and I didn't notice.
Yes I think he was in Six feet under but that's not a show I watched.

Dexter is what I'd call macabre, kinda like a Stephen King novel, Dexter is a series of novels made for tv. It did take me a couple of eps to get into it but over all I do like it ... and the way he explains is upbringing along with it

Burn Notice is another one I like and Fi is just over the top!
