blushing Shopping cart return

Back in my late teens, early twenties I use to work at a Ralph's in Fountain Valley, CA, and was one of the employees who use to have to drag in ten carts at a time (with out the rope to tie them togther, nor the automated cart guides some places use today). So I try to return our cart back to its designated spot before leaving the parking area. However, sometimes it is mush too far to walk back to the store when the cart return corral is full (we like parking far out for the exercise, but not so the frozen stuff thaws). Otherwise the cart is as close to the corral as one of us can place it w/o it hitting any other cars.

I almost always put them back before the accident. But since I some times leave them on the sidewalk in front of the store if DH picks me up. When parking I try to pick a spot within a space or two of the corels so I can put it back without a lot of trouble. If I have a cane or walker I can get it there and have something to return with.
I have always tried to return them but since working at walmart and seeing what a job it is to keep them all gathered up ...I try even harder.
I don't want them to ding anybodies car either.
