| What do you think about the name change for the NASCAR Cup series?
It was announced about an hour ago that NASCAR was changing the series name from NASCAR Nextel Series to NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. I still don't understand why after listening to the press conference and after reading it in Jayski. I wonder if this has anything to do with the law suit between the 2 Cup car sponsors of AT&T and Alltell because NEXTEL won't allow them to put their logos on their cars? Since Nextel and Sprint are the same company, there has to be some underlying reason other than focus groups and surveys. I AM one of their biggest fans and I know Brian France doesn't listen to fan unless it has to do with dollar signs with regards to himself. Maybe I am starting a conspiracy here. What do you think? I guess now Jeff Burton and Ryan Newman will have to change their bland, black and white colored Nextel logos on their firesuits to Sprint, in black and white. lol |
