NASCAR Dover Discussion thread

This is where we can discus all the activities of the NASCAR races in Dover, DE.

Since I will be out of town when I usually start this thread, I am going to go ahead and start this one even though the race is a week and a half away.

Coll, the Dover (Demolition, lol) race is expected to start on FOX at 1:30pm on June 3rd. There is supposed to be a pre-race show 30 minutes before. I hope that helps.

Bobby was 2nd fastest in first practice!!! Whoo Hooo! Only an hour away from qualifying. Bobby goes out 33rd.

I am trying to decide whether or not to start a discussion thread for the Pocono race next week. Will anyone else be wanting to do some NASCAR chat?

Coll, this weekend, the race will be on FOX at about 1pm, ET with the green flag coming at about 1:40pm.

The Pocono race will be on TNT on June 10th at about 2:10pm.

I know what I'll be doing this weekend. The girls have playdates so I'll have the tv to myself.

Coll, that is nice that you get the TV to yourself. DH will be sleeping so I hope we don't wake him screaming--we'll actually, I hope I do because that will mean that Bobby is doing great. I saw him on 2 interviews and Paul, his crew chief and 1 interview. They both seemed so positive, but Paul is always upbeat and positive. I am hoping with him being up front, that he'll avoid all the messy wrecks.

Those at the track are hoping that the race isn't going to be rained out. They are expecting a good amount of rain there during the race. I had DH check since he is a weather person. He agrees that this rain may be a washout. But, he also says that with weather, anything can happen.

It also may be possible that the race may be bumped up earlier so they can get at least half the race in and call it.

Rain rain go away, come again another day! Maybe they'll interview Bobby while they are waiting.
