First practice just started. 5 more hours until qualifying. I hope when they set those cars up the remember to make the cars work for the warmer hours later in the day.
Btw, I HATE the COT! Did you hear that it causes the exhaust to fall off causing the tires to cut down? Grrrrr! I wish NASCAR wouldn't find it necessary to make changes every race and several times per season!
Well, first practice (the required practice before the time trials so the teams can get their cars set up for the race) is almost over and guess what? They found oil all over the track and had to send out the SpeedyDry trucks out to clean it up. Come to find out, it was coming out of Bobby's car. I sure hope that there will be no more problems for Bobby, especially during the race.
Yeah I saw alot of problems with the exhaust DeBora, they said they were using thinner metal and there was a ton of fumes coming into the car. Denny said he felt terrible during and after the race and was worried about the carbon monoxide levels in the car, he told his trainer on Monday that he still felt completely wore out and had a terrible headache and his trainer contacted some of the other guys trainers and said they were feeling the exact same way and that they contacted NASCAR with their concerns about the exhaust problem and Robin Pemberton told the teams to switch back to the thicker metal on the exhaust and that it "should" solve the problem.
I for one have a huge problem with that I mean its tough enough on tracks like Bristol and Martinsville just to still be running at the end of the race but now we also have to worry about the problems that the COT imposes on their health which is one of the reasons for the COT is for it to be safer for our guys.
UGH I am just totally disgusted at the lack of safety and tests just so they could hurry up and debut their prescious COT, point blank they shouldn't have rushed it like they did. O.kay thats enough of my rant can you tell I am peeved?
Anywho good luck during quals and I hope they have Bobby's car fixed and ready to roll with no more incidents, he had enough bad luck last week hopefully that will stay at Bristol, JGR is very positive that they have found and fixed the problems with their cars fuel pumps so nothig but good luck vibes going out this weekend.
April, I saw the interview with Denny. However, between my DH wanting my attention and my DD calling several times, I missed what all he said. (DD set up an email account for my DGD and they were wanting me to reply to DGDs email and send her links to preschool games and paperdolls that we play when they come over to visit.)
Yes I can tell that you are mad. Believe me, I am with you girl. They had Bobby testing the helmets they now use to give them clean air and such. However, at first, it just gave him serious headaches and mad him ill. You'd think that with the money NA$CAR makes, they'd be able to afford to do some serious testing on these products BEFORE they make the drivers use them or drive them.
Also, did you see Robby Gordon's car when it was just turning the corner this morning in practice? Well, its driver's side tire came completely off the ground!!!! I mean, how much grip are these tires going to get if these #^#&^$% COTs are top heavy and heavy on the right? I wonder how easy it would be to flip these cars if they were bumped from the driver's side?
Well, less than 30 minutes until the time trials! Whoo Hooo!
Yeah I completely missed him running, the girls were "helping" me fold clothes and of course they had to fold theirs and the perfectionist was coming out in them and they kept messing it up and refolding until it was perfect, so that took ALOT of time but they had so much fun doing it I didn't have the heart to tell them to let me have the clothes because I am faster, and the laundry room is in the other side of the house so me having the tv up loud I still wouldn't have heard it . I just hope he holds it.
LOL I remember when my children "helped" me around the house. lol
5 more to go. I would tell you that I hope Denny keeps the pole, BUT, Well, I hope Bobby knocks him off the pole. Then, our boys would be on the front row together!
