Tonight is the total eclipse of the moon. Here is the link to the page, it will tell you what time it begins and ends depending on where you live.
www.SkyTonight.com I am very excited about it tonight it is supposed to start raining about 3 and snowing at 9 tonight but hopefully the clouds will be sparse about the time it begins. My son who is 8 is so into astronomy right now and the weather I think this will be very fun to do with him. My girls 4 and 5 are too, though the really don't understand what is going on so I am going to research it as much as possible and have a little "class" before hand to get them up to speed and hopefully the will understand a little bit better. My son had missed a couple days of school in February from being ill so tonight me and him are going to work on a paper about the Lunar Eclipse and do a little project on it so he can take it to school on Monday and Hopefully maybe get some extra credit.
Again the website address is
www.SkyTonight.com and they will have all the information about it and the times it can be viewed at. I didn't know if anybody elses kids were into this kind of thing but I hope if they are you guys have as much fun as we will tonight. I will post later and let you guys know how it went and maybe post some pictures if we can get any good ones. This is somthing that is definately frugal and will be sure to make good memories for years to come.
