Has anyone seen the new game show, "Are you Smarter then a 5th Grader??" It's on fox network after American Idol. It's on tonight for half an hour and again tomorrow after Idol for a hour. It's a really cute show, and so far nobody is smarter then a 5th grader. A real cute game show......
I enjoyed watching this with my daughter the other day.
My only complaint was, it's too SLOW-MOVING. I thought the same about "Millionaire" which this show is obviously based on.
But it was a fun game show for parents and kids to watch together.
I love it but agree it is slow..guess they don't want to pay out too much in one night..felt sorry for the guy who bombed on the first question the other night...I love the "class"..smart and always make me smile...

We watch it here, too. My son loves the show.
I read an article in the USA Today that was written by the parents of one of the kids who tried out for the show--they said that it is so staged. The parents are supposed to act really dumb and the kids are supposed to over act. All part of today's "reality TV"

Yes, that show is hilarious! But, I also like the millionaire show as well. DH finally got to watch it last week and he enjoyed it as well. Jeff Foxworthy makes an excellant host too.
Since I am an English tutor, I was surprised that a teacher had to get help to answer the question referring to how many proper nouns or prnouns, I cannot remember which, were in the following sentence and then they listed a sentence! I really thought that a school teacher should have gotten that one!
I know..she couldn't decide if Oprah was a noun....even dummie me know that a noun is a person, place or thing.. and then there was the one about how many Fed. holidays are in November and that one was flunked to... I love it when I don't know the answers to the first grade questions..lol..
