I picked up a couple of books at work last night. I am going to preview an author to see if we want to get other books by her, so I am reading A Penny For Your Thoughts by Mindy Starns Clark. I am only on the first chapter so I don't know about it yet. I also brought home Murder at the Monk's Table by Sister Carol Anne O'Marie.
Happy Reading All!!!

I want to make a library run next week and just scanned these pages for some good read recommendations!!

Joy,
"The Queen of oddballs sounds good!" Who is the author of that one?

And Jjoj, do you remember the author of the Potluck Club? That sounds like one I'd like, too.

Haley's grandma, I got the book "Marley and Me" for my dh for Christmas. He just LOVES dogs so I hope he will like it. (We have a 10 year old Pekineesed who is his baby!!)

And lastly, Barbszy, I am currently reading............or trying to read, "After This" but am finding it very hard to follow. I am on page 56. Should I keep going? Does it get any better??

hugs, train

Train, it does NOT get better. Get out now while you still can! That book was like watching a train wreck.

Hey, Train--welcome back! I hope you had a fun trip!
The authors of the Potluck Club are Linda Shepherd and Eva Marie Everson. There is also a second book called, Trouble's Brewing. They were really fun to read. Take care!

Welcome back Train. I think the author of Queen of the Oddballs is Hilary Carlip. It is a fast read.

Yes,
I gave up on "After This" after only reading a few more pages..................VERY hard to follow or make any sense out of!

Joy and Jamie,
neither of those books were available at the library. I wrote them down and will keep my eye out for them.
I have started "Flirting with Peter" by Barbara Delinsky. I read "Coast Road", also by her, and really liked it.

Thanks for the welcome backs! It's good to be home!

hugs, train

Train, I read Coast Road by Barbara Delinsky too and liked it. I don't normally read romance novels but the first book I read by her, Shades of Grace" got me hooked on her books. She lives a couple towns away from me so I have actually gotten a couple autographed books of hers from a local bookstore.

Futureteacher, I got "The Secret Life of Becky Miller" at the library. It's a very good book--a fast read, and a good story. Thanks for recommending it.

I "read" a book on tape over the weekend. It is a great way to do boring housework and read at the same time. The book was a Nero Wolfe mystery by Rex Stout--To Be A Villian. I really like Nero Wolfe mysteries and I enjoy listening to the reader on this tape series.
