Chris, I am still waiting on @ Home For The Holidays from the library. I hope it comes in soon as I have been so looking forward to reading it!
Just finished Straight Up. Basically, it is about this woman who could have been the next jazz great, but drinks herself to death instead. Well, yuck. I kept thinking she would come out of her coma, but, nope, she dies in the end. I think I need to focus on something more cheerful! I am now reading Be My Neat Heart, by Judy Baer. It is about a neat freak with a dog named Imelda, who chews up shoes. Take care!

jjoj what is the picture of in your signature?

I'm reading Judaism for Dummies. It tells the differences between all the sects of Judaism. It's very educational. I've stumped our Rabbi with some of my questions. LOL! I like to do that. It's a great read if you are interested in what Jews are and what some believe.

TTFN,
Shelley

Shelley, actually it is sort of an abstract picture of an angel. My son is into photoshop and made it for me.
Your book sounds interesting. Are there quite a few sects of Judaism, then? We have close friends who invite us over every year for their Hannakah (sp?). We feel so honored that they would include us. Take care!

Last night I finished "Full Bloom" by Janet Evanovich & Charlotte Hughes. It was a good book. The main character inherited an old bordello from her g'ma and couldn't change any of the decor. She turned it into a B&B. Two elderly ladies live with her and her handyman is a drunk who doesn't like to work. A handsome man rents a room and things heat up. Then her missing ex-husband is discovered murdered and she's the main suspect. The handsome renter helps w/ the investigation. Lots of funny parts to this story.

This morning I started "Moon Music" by Faye Kellerman. It's a good book so far.

Mindy--I have read all of the "Full" series. You will enjoy them.
I am re-reading Jennifer Chiaverini's The Sugar Camp Quilt for my Library book discussion group. This is the seventh of the Elm Creek Quilt books, but can be read out of order as it deals with the time of the Underground Railroad. If you like historical fiction and quilts, you will like this book.

Right now, I am reading Savannah From Savannah, by Denise Hildreth. Very Southern, with a good twist of humor. Have a nice evening!

I started back at the beginning of the Big Stone Gap series.

I've also been reading "In God We Trust, All Others Pay Cash" which is the book that inspired the movie "The Christmas Story"--don't shoot your eye out!
