hi again. looks as if most of you have lots of events in october. my busy season starts in early november with one big charity concert and my dh b-day. then there will be a month gap til my b-day and finally christmas. have you already started your holiday prep?
i must share this funny incident i witnessed. my dh went to his class reunion and i went to kite surfing party (i dont kite, my friends do). those two were in the same building. so we were bowling there and dh with his classmates were also on another lane. so i saw how some of those ladies tried to hit on him. they were drunk i say and he really felt uncomfortable. so finally someone said that his wife is there. it was so funny to see how they crawled around him and then backed off. lol
see you soon

I put up our fall decorations but everythng had to go up high. My crazy dog thinks everything he can reach is a toy. Since he is a tall greyhound he can reach a lot. It was funny to see him racing through the house with a scarecrow in his mouth. I have to get him trained by Christmas or I can't put my snowmen out.
Connie, Concentrate on getting better let nature decotate for you
DeBora, Will be thinking of you & your baby. I'll say a prayer all goes well.

Good Afternoon Everyone,
This is great.I love October, birthday's to plan,Thanksgiving to organize. And just having fun.
I love the fall colors, hubby and I usually go out and drive around just seeing the colors of fall.Which hopefully I will still be able to see next year, even if I have to use a magnifying glass to do it,I will still enjoy myself.
Last fall we planted 4 Colorado Spruce trees in our yard, and they are growing, yahoo.I love to plant flowers, mostly daffodils and tulips,I planted 2 rose bushes and hopefully next year they will bloom.Oh and I love lilies too.
It is cold here today only 11 out, cool wind so think I will hibernate for the day.
Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Hi all great to see some new faces on the flowere thread!!! Just jump in and chat about anhything on your mind...no real topic on this thread. Have not been on much getting ready for my god daughters and their puppy to arrive tomorrow and I worked all weekend, got my allergy shot and sewed inbetween. chewy is fine from her surgery but trying to keep her calm is anouther story!! LOL

Felicia yes I had heard about the over pass colapsing in Montreal yesterday...pretty scarey considering we just went through there in Sept!!!! We are suppossed to be heading back this month too if we have time!! Yikes so scarey.

Well best get back to my sewing machine...then it will be on to the kitchen to finish getting baking done for Thanksgiving. Still have some pies to make and sweets.

Hugs Debbie

Now is the time I close our in ground pool for the winter. YEAH!!! No more checking chemical levels for a while after I prepare it for the winter that is.

We have a hot tub outside as well. I clean it and check the chemical levels year round.

Chinchilla

Today I bought a pet for myself. I got a Chinchilla. Has anyone here ever owned or do own one? If so what do you know about them? Are they good pets that can be handled often? So far my pet is friendly enough. It was scared at first but now a couple hours later it is letting us put our hands in to pet it and give it food. I named her Dusty after my best friend, her nickname is Dusty. It is kind of fitting since they roll around in dust to get clean. She is so cute. I can't wait until she will let me hold her.

I finished paiges costume still 2 more to go but was happy that I got hers done. With my hand being swollen most of the week I was so behind so it feels good to finish at least one!

Felicia cute pet...I think the kids down the road have one and they love it!!

Oh Deb Paige looks so adorable. It came out great!
So far the pet has acclumated really well. She has jumped into my hand, nibbled on my jacket and eaten out of my hand. It says online that they don't really bite. She seems friendly enough and oh so cute.

Fish, my dd1 just got a chinchilla and same here, very soft and cuddly and doesn't bite. She sure can jump though! More later, dh says a double rainbow is outside!

Back from the rainbow, we missed it, just a remnant over the mountain. He said it was a double that went end to end from Tussey Mtn to town, a complete double arch. Maybe in tomorrow's paper someone will send a picture in.

Anyways, we usually hear the chin about midnight she likes to run on her wheel. Only last night she was sort of quiet and dh said in the morning he heard a whimpering. The wheel had detached and fallen and trapped her under it all night long. Poor Sophie! She's okay now.
