I know many of you are Emmitt fans but I was bummed that Mario did not win. I guess the way I saw him was he could step into any of the male proffessional shoes and dance just like them where as Emmitt looked good but I don't think could dance like the professionals. I was bummed with the judging too as Emmitt messed up at the beginning of his 1st dance and they still awarded him a perfect score where when Mario had one mistake the one judge penalised him. also on the free style dance the judges outright said it was the dance of the season but they had already given Emmitt a perfect score so how can you give Mario any better even the one judge said +10. I know some of you thought Mario was being $#$%!! but he never said anything in his interviews about being the best or winning. He mentioned it would be nice to win after all the hard work but that all were deserving. Emmitt on the other hand was very vocal about needed to win and that he wanted nothing less than that.

Sorry just my opinion. I think they were both fantastic competitors and I told hubby that Emmitt would end up winning.

I totally agree with you. I was yelling at the tv when Emmitt messes up during their first dance. I think that he came very far but most of the time he wasn't really doing much more than shaking his upper body. I thought that a lot of the time the judges were very critical of Mario not being sharp enough. I thought that he was very good. I was hoping that it would end up with these 2 in the finals but after watching Joey, I wonder if it shouldn't have come down to Mario and Joey--If it was strictly on judging the dancing.

I have heard talk here and there on different shows that some thought maybe the judges were harder on Mario but to me it should all be judged the same. But that is the problem with shows like this and American Idol is a huge fan base can get you far. For the producers of the show it is a win because all those fans will continue to watch shows with the winners and keep the ratings up for next season. I still love to watch the show despite my feelings of how it is run......it is neat to see all the dancers progress to the level they are now.

I would just hate to be a judge, doing the judging.
