Autumn is just around the corner!

Now that I see we are going to get temperatures into the 100s and also the first of the season's apples are in, my attention is turning to the cooler days and produce of the fall season. Anyone else care to share how they look forward to and are making plans for autumn?

I bought a poetry pamphlet a couple days ago titled Change of Seasons: Autumn to winter. Those winter landscapes were very cooling and I could just taste that crisp red apple!

My plans, besides starting the fall semester is to go to North Carolina to the NASCAR races in October.

Autumn is my favorite time of year!

My anniversary is in Oct. and so is my son's BD.

To me, there is something to donning a light jacket on a cool, crisp night and taking a walk.

We love taking drives to look for great views of the leaves that are changing colors.

Apple crisp and Pumpkin pie!!! MMMM!!!

Fall is a beautiful time of the year here. The leaves are very pretty. I enjoy walking at time if the year. That is when our town has it's festival...I love the craft shows.

no beautiful trees in full color here...
fall is a continuance of hurricane season (June-Nov)..been here 34 yrs and still am waiting for the tree leaves to turn....

Fall is my favorite season. Leaves changing, going to the pumpkin farm, wearing a sweater. This may sound silly but a new tv season.lol

I love fall for many of the reasons already stated. Getting back into a routine after the hectic summer is always something I look forward to. Living in rural Iowa --- the harvest is what it is all about. Seeing the big combines opening up the corn and bean fields and watching the trucks and wagons haul the grain out for storage is a rewarding feeling. Finishing up the last of the canning and freezing of garden produce and checking out the pumkin patch are fun too.
I love fall decorating. Not only decorating for the fall holidays (Halloween & Thanksgiving), but the colors, smells and textures of fall are my favorites. Hmmmm...Fall

well Tami I will not forget your anniv as that was a sad day for me it is the day after my b'day and the anniv of Otto's death. So now I have something else to think about on that day.

I also love the fall for all the reasons that have been mentioned. I love my cardigans don't have a long period to wear them but do while I can. Can not take long walks anymore and even short ones leave me hurting but do enjoy them. And now having my wonderful porch can sit out on it and enjoy it.
