February 2006 Friendship Flower

Thank you everyone for being so patient while waiting for a new friendship flower. Since January is almost over we thought we would go ahead to February. The shortest month in the year and the month that is all about

. What are your plans for this special month???

hmmm, february is supposed to be last month of winter. here winter will last at least until early april. sometimes there is snow until mid april. we have our independence day in february. last year it was extremely cold that day. we felt so sorry for the soliders who had to go to a parade. also our president (75yo) was there. poor old man. we wanted to go to see the parade and military machinery but we did not. maybe this year.
we dont celebrate valentine's day. it is just a commercial holiday for teenagers.
i do hope that we will get more snow that month. we took our sledge out today for the first time this winter. odd.
can enyone explain me what is superbowl? and all those other bowls? also i know that men watch football on thanksgiving - is it some kind of finals then or just regular game? are all the games important or just play-offs?it is so confusing. i will never understand the rules of the game. same goes for baseball.
ok, that is all for now. we have had some bad times here. with dh health failing because of overworking and us trying to get a bigger place to live...it is too much stress

Hi everyone not much going on here today it is snowing yaaaaaa finally now i just have to go get dd and ill be home for the evening except for going out and feeding the chickens and gathering eggs so thay dont freeze. well better run have a good day all

Joining, Superbowl is a football game between the top 2 professional football teams. Most of the other bowls are made up of college football teams. Americans are pretty big on sports. Our team , the Chicago Bears didn't make it this year but we will watch & cheer anyway. It is a fun way to spend a Sunday .

Joining the FEB thread. I don't have many plans for Feb. I have a baby shower to go to on the 11th and that's all so far.

Hi everyone, joing the thread! I have no idea what I will be doing for

as Kelly is working in Pennsylavania at this moment. Hopefully he will be back down this way by the first of Feb. but no guarantees, so I may be all alone. Who knows?

I'm once again hoping we get some snow! This has been such a warm, very warm, winter so far. We really need some cold weather and some snow or otherwise this summer we are going to have some really bad bugs, and the drought will be just that much worse!!! Granted, the snow for the most part, is for me!!!!!!
