Not the best pic of my tree but digital camera won't download to the computer. Got a malfunction somewhere.

Hi everyone, guess it has been a week since I posted last on the friendship thread! After hitting my head I needed a few days to recoup. My kitty was fine the next day guess she must have eaten something she was not suppossed to. She goes tonight to the vet to get spayed tomorrow. Felicia we found out it is mothballs that cats don't like. We have them tied in old socks and around our tree. She stays away from it now. Thank goodness as she was running up the centre and sending ornaments flying everywhere. We had the karate banquet this weekend. Was alot of fun and my kids each were awarded 3 medals . The dance was fun afterwards and Paige danced nonstop from 8 till 1 am!!! Mike and I went to Ottawa for a day with out the kids and finished all our shopping and most of the food shopping. Feels good to be done.
Sandie Puggles are the in breed of dog right now and apparantly are next to impossible to find!! They had them on one of the talk shows. Very cute. Great job on all the siggys for everyone. Funny coments on the multiple personalities!
Felicia love the picture of ziggy and all your snow pictures. We have about the same amount of snow as you and that is only the beginning. We usually get lots throughout the year and it just keeps getting deeper. This week has been cold dropping to -24 at night and only a high of -18 during the day. At least it is sunny.
Karen great to see you back here!!!! Sorry to hear about your son but sounds like you are working it out.
Barbszy any news on the school closure??? Love the pic of your tree and yes LOL I can tell where Luke put his ornaments. Great news on the singing and guitar playing.
Sharon glad to hear the incision is healing. Beautiful picture of your tree too.
DeBora glad you got the appt for your nerve block. I am going to have to check into those. I loved the picture of Santa and your gbabies. Loved the pic of jetbo too. Hope you have fun with all your company. My house would never pass the white glove test!
DonnaMarie so sorry that your car was hit!! Glad that it was not more serious though or that you and John were hurt. hope the meds work for John!
Sueanne what a beautiful tree you have !! Glad to hear how well your mom is doing, hopefully she will be with you soon. Hope your Ds's leg does not get infected. I had the neouro test they are doing on him and it is not bad at all.
Meg glad to hear you are feeling better. My son thinks it is pretty cool that you have Christmas a day before us!!! How is the rest of your family. congrats to your dd for her accomplishments.
Cindy so sorry to hear all that you and your family are facing right now. Hope things are all okay in the end!
Margaret we are getting closer to planning our trip to florida and it looks like we will be driving. We will be on the road 2-3 weeks. Will let you know so we can pop by for a visit. Have to see if there is anyone else I can fit in to!! Only caught alitlle on the post regarding fires...is this happening now??? If so hope they are not near you.
Cau thinking of you and your sister as she is recovering from this illness. Hope you are all better soon so you can visit her.
Lita I can't help you with the rental agreement sorry. As for digital cameras I have an HP and I love it it is 5.1MP but if I was to go buy one today I would get a nikon and a good one that I could use both manually and programed. Aslo glad to hear that you and hubby are working on mending the broken bridges in your marriage.
Connie how are you doing?? Is your UTI better? How terrible to be allergic to all antibiotics. Glad felicia was able to help with herbs. Hope things with you and hubby continue to improve. How is your DD?
BarBar that is great you got a bonus and what a treat to go have your hair done. Did Johns tests go well?? How is Chynna and Hannah? Any word on what your DD is planning??
Debbie Hey there girl you are always running...could I have half your energy!! Please!! Hope things are well with all of you! Did you get much knitting done for gifts?
Hubby just got word that he is leaving earlier to Afganistan. He will now leave on Jan 31st. At least he will still be here for my 40th!! LOL I am going to have a going away party for him Jan 15th. We have so many dinner invites out before he leaves as everyone wants to see him!! I just want to get through Christmas. There have been so many Canadians injured over there lately so my nerves are a little frazzled but still trying to keep a positive outlook.
Well must get going. I have no kids today as a virus swept through the house and they are all home sick. Hope everyone is well sorry if I missed someone my memory only works so good...guess I should have written it down, oh well you all know you are in my thoughts
Hugs Debbie

DH just left to take DGS back home. He had a rough night. I kept grabbing my shirt and sucking, so I realized that he needed a pacifier. So, DH went and got him one. He did fine for awhile intil he woke up teething at 1am. Well, I bet we get some rest tonight! LOL

We finally decorated the Christmas tree last night. An area of the tree at the bottom has a ton of ornaments on it as that is where DGD put all the ornaments that I gave her.

I don't remember if I mentioned it, but I have my nerve block on Tuesday. It'll be at the hospital because the doctor is booked at his office through most of January. I'll take it though. It takes a few weeks for the body to heal after the procedure, so I should be good be the time school starts.

I got my grades in school and I am very happy! This was a rough semester. I've communicated with others in school and it sounds like others had it rough too. Thank God it's over.

Well, I have a couple of CD's that my DD got from her friend with pictures from Caprice's 2nd birthday party as well as an outing she had at my DD's friend's house. I am having trouble opening the CD as the picture's aren't clear-cut as to how to get to them. I guess I'll have to play around.

Angry Rant ahead, feel free to skip

Thanks, Deb. Actually I am kind of in a tiff right now over Christmas at church. Yesterday the other singer came over and we practiced all the music. Everything was all set. Then at 5:00 I got a phone call from some organist whom I've never met, informing me that Father doesn't think that "just guitar and singers" is good enough for Christmas so she will be playing too. I kind of feel like they don't need me, then. They have an organist and a singer. Part of me wants to go and sing anyway and part of me wants to just skip it. If older DS were not an altar server on that day I'd say, let's go to another church. This all sounds so stupid, but I am insulted. I feel like I have been told I am not good enough. It's getting close to a "straw that breaks the camel's back" moment with this place. The music director, who should really be handing out the assignments here, has not even talked to me about Christmas ONCE since the time I asked if I could do it and she kind of blew me off. She hasn't handled any of these arrangements.
I am trying to figure out if the most gracious way to handle this is just to sing as planned with the other singer and the organist, or to bow out quietly and let the other 2 go for it.

Barb i can totally understand the frustration you are feeling. As for advice I don't know that I can tell you what to do. I know myself I love to hear guitar at church. We often have guitar, piano , organ , drums, acordian and other odd instruments show up to play. It is not about perfect music but rather that we are playing and sharing our hearts and celebrating our God. I think your parish should be honoured to have so many talented musicians. I hope you make a decision you are happy with ...not everyone else.

Hugs Debbie

A part of me can't help but think that all this is just Satan trying to ruin Christmas....oh well. If the school does close in June, we will be going to a new parish anyway, so I probably shouldn't let myself get all worked up over this.

Barb I was not trying to say you should not be upset, i would be in your situation. i think it is the others who are being rude. Sometimes my words just don't come across the way i want them to!!! They should be thrilled that you play guitar and should be asking you to play all the time. Sending you some much needed

/hugs Debbie
