Hi Everyone

I hope all of you that are getting rained on get some relief soon. The rain is suppossed to start here on Thursday and continue for a few days. Can not complain though as it has been so nice here.

Well I got busy sewing yesterday and got Elvis finished. I had already done the statue of liberty so now I just have aladdin to do. Guess what I am doing this weekend!!!

Lita sounds like the canoe race was a great adventure for your hubby, I could tell by your post how proud you were of him and the others.

Robin congrats to your daughter on getting her ears peirced!! I was one of those horrible moms who peirced my daughters ears very young about 1 month I think. It never fizzed her though, she never cried and has never touched them since. I know everyone has thier opinions about that but for us it was the way we went.

Well I am off to clean up dishes then pick Paige up from Brownies and the boys from karate. Hope all are well

Hugs Debbie

Lita, sounds like you are fed up and are putting a stop to the bad way in which you have been treated. Good for you!

I am glad that you are feeling better Stella.

I'll find out tomorrow how I did on the exam. Jet-Bo is doing well, so far. Today, the worse thing that has happened was that I had to get out in the cold to switch propane tanks. I couldn't figure out why it was so cold as I set the heater to go on when it got cold enough. So, if this is the worse thing that has happened this past week--I can certainly deal with that! If nothing else happens this semester, I am beginning to get my momentum back and maybe I will make it! Thank you all again for your thoughts and prayers.

Pinkie Winky Happy Tuesday to you all!

Can't wait for dh to arrive. I need to go to the library before it closes. He had the car today so as soon as he gets here we are off!
The other day I checked out, for the first time, one of those books on tapes and it was very interesting to listen to a story read to me. It helped me use my imagination more . I would love to do some voice-overs for some authors in the near future. I think that would be such a fun job! Anyway, the book I chose is a novel by Mary Higgins Clark and the lady that did the voice over was very good at it. There wasn't much selection to choose from so I just picked one that was a murder mystery.
There was another one that was more like a self-help sort of book about "Simplifying Your Life" or some sort of title like that and I tell you that was boring listening to the voice on tape. I have to tell you the author did not do justice to the voice-over, she should have hired someone more professional. I think reading the book myself would have been more interesting than listening to it on tape.
Okay, it was an uneventful day for us and tomorrow I hope to hear from the Christian Bookstore I ordered some homeschool materials from. I also expect to get paid tomorrow. We are so tight with money these days.
I am so glad that my two darlings are showing on my picture profile.
Oh! I am going to go now since dh just arrived!
Have fun ladies!
Hugs, LovedMom

Good morning everyone!

Tonight I have an interview for a possible addition to my daycare. She is only 3 months old, having mixed feelings about taking her on. If I do it wil be impossible to pick up ds at Pre school, it would mean putting him in for a full day. Its not that I must make the extra money right now. However my part timer will be leaving me after summer, so it would be good to establish another regular....

Sandie, Hows your weather today? Hope its clearing up. We had rain over the weekend, I just wish the sun would shine. So depressing!

Lovedmom, That would be a fun job!

Does anyone watch Three Wishes?? Amy Grant did a concert and a surprise wedding In Akron last night! Will have to watch that episode when it airs. Keep forgetting when its on so have yet to see it!

Gotta go play playdoh with the kids! Making bowls of cereal!!! I make the bowl the little roll cereal. lol

Good Morning Ladies.

I REALLY apologize for not being around much. Between my computer problems and DD's wedding coming down to the wire (big day is the 29th of this month), I have not been able to get on much and when I can, I have my moderator duties to take of first.

As soon as I can, I am going to start at the beginning of this thread and read each and every post in an attempt to catch up with everyone else's lives. I really miss y'all!!!

Just wanted to let y'all know that according to my calculations, this should be our last day with our lovely basket and jack-o-lantern (did y'all notice that his eyes now shine & blink? ).

I have started the October flower thread and it is open for posting. Here's the link to it:
