Happy Birthday, Sandie! I hope you had a blessed day! Today is my moms birthday, too! We had her over for dinner tonight, Hay Stacks and homemade lemon meringue pie!!
I am doing good and work is going much, much better. There were no more layoffs as business has picked up and I like the night shift very much!
Did anyone hear we had an earthquake yesterday? It was small but freaked me out nonetheless! The chair I was sitting in was moving as was the floor. More like swaying but freaky!!
Did anyone catch Amy Grant's show, "Three Wishes" tonight!! It's a real feel good show!!
To all hope everyone is safe and sound from the Rita Storm Bar Bar Abear and whoever was in the path. Just letting you know that we are leaving for a few days and will not be back till sometime on Wednesday. Hope everything will be okay when I get back.
Hugs,

You will be truly missed.
I did see the show Three wishes after my candle party and it was wonderful. I can not wait until the next one.
We are suppose to cool down and get some rain here. It has been so hot that I forgot that it is already fall. Hopefully this will be the last of the hot weather for a while.
Well gotta go read my Disciple. Have a great night everyone.

Sandie, remember it not age, just more wisdom. LOL...and now when you forget things, blame it on age.
Donna, please pass on to your mom a Happy Birthday wish along with a Happy Retirment wish.
I can see you both now hanging out together and enjoying one another more. Which is wonderful.
Goodness No, I didn't hear, I did hear more about your town on the news back when the Dust bowl hit and how they moved to your area.
Dinsky, no I haven't. but thanks for the tip, will have to try that. As the kids really got into the marble painting. How have you been, haven't seen much of you these days with the way both of our schedules been going.
DeBora, I do hope with you talking to your prof. that it will help, and he will start paying attention to what you are asking in class, and don't
talk to you like he has in the past.
Connie, I will say that I'm only 7 yrs older than my dh kids. So I will say that this woman your dad is dating is older than what I was to my dh kids. LOL
Teresa those 7 posts are just too cute.
Thanks for all the well wishes I do hope soon I be totally over it, but I know this year is starting early it seems for me, Do hope it not a sign of getting alot of it this year.
Bless John's heart, he either broke another rib, or injury one of the old broken ones from his coughing.
been busy workin on lesson plans, and my Oct. newsletter for the parents.
and this morning I slept in, which was wonderful.
tonight John and I are going to go out for supper.
I still got the stuff, and when I talk alot or start laughing, or get to hot, I start the cough, and start losing my voice, or it seems to go deep. sound like a differet person. LOL
other that that I get tired easy but feeling better.
We are getting some wind, last night I saw the copters go over head and they were the army ones. We figure they were carring supplies.
the air last night feel so errrie, you could feel the pressure changing.
I hope everyone is safe. Has anyone heard from Abear, on how she made it thru the storm?
yesterday we did shaving cream, and made bird food, they cut out using a cookie cutter the shape they wanted, spread peanut butter on it, then sprinkle bird seed on it. they got into that too. LOL, then we try tieing string to it, but most of the bread for some reason was breaking.
it shouldn't but it did.
yet the kids still enjoyed it.
Margaret, the marble painting is fun, go ahead and try it.
I allow the kids to use 3 different colors, it can be real pretty.
plus it alright to act like a kid. LOL
after reading Barbz post, I'm curious to know which one you talking about.
the fabric marbling, not heard of before.
Debk, thanks for the Halloween marble painting idea, that does sound cute. I was looking for things for the kids to do for Halloween since this is a christian school, some things are not allow. Since the kids enjoyed it, I will use this idea for that week. Thanks again.
Thank you everyone, my Bday was great, and dh managed to REALLY surprise me this time, lol!!Yesterday the delivery man came and I knew right away in the box was a Vermont Teddy Bear, lol, you cant miss their adorable boxes, with the little air holes so the bear can "breathe"! I opened it and it was adorable, and he is holding a small box of candy, that says open me. I opened it and a note inside said Hi , your birthday present is arriving sat between 9 and 11 am.,so dh comes home and still wont tell me, I thought the bear was my gift, lol, anyhow to make a long story short this morning a delivery truck shows up, and it was a 'SLEEP NUMBER BED" i was so thrilled, Ive been wanting one ever since I first heard of them!!! I cant wait to go to bed tonight and try it out, lol!!Which is right now, we have to be up at 4 a m for the flea market tomorrow. More later have a good night and a good Sunday!!!
Wow what a present! My brother and his wife have a temperpedic (sp?) They love it, and its supposed to last at least 30 yrs, probaly a pretty good investment! Of course when you say the kind of bed you got all I can think of is the Bionic woman. lol
