The Notebook

Has anyone seen this movie? It's a real tear jerker!

James Garner is really good in it.

Im not sure I want to write about it so that I wont give it away to anyone who wants to see it.

Im going to look for the book at the library too.

I got this on audio book before the movie came out, and I was delighted to be able to put faces to the characters in the book. The audio book was exactily as the book was written. I don't have time to read so I get audio books and listen to them either in the car or when I am busy at home. I usually get Nicholas Sparks audio books as soon as they come out. I think I have all of them and if I don't I go to the library and sign them out. He is the most sensitive writer for a man that I have ever read, a very gifted writer. I have seen this movie 3 times and each time I have had to have a box of kleenex with me. I went to the show when it first came out right away and there wasn't a dry eye in the place including men. I recommend it to anyone, men or women.

We were just discussing this movie at work on Friday. One woman said that the book is a good deal more involved and much better than the movie. Although I figured out the plot at the beginning of the film, it was still certainly touching.

I think the passion and devotion shown in this movie are things we should all strive toward in our own lives. To show a comparable level of caring not only to family members but to friends and strangers would have incredible results.

Pass the tissues for this one!

My dd brought this movie over, and said that I just simply had to watch it. She did tell me I would need kleenex, but I didn't take her advice and boy, was she right!! I had to keep pausing the movie to leave the room and try and get my composure back so I could see the next scene (I wear contacts, and crying makes it more difficult to see through them). But what for~~the movie was awesome from beginning to end, and I through most of it. What a touching and beautiful love story. And trust me, you will be touched each time you see it again.

Dh and I loved it. Both of us had tears in our eyes by the end. Yes it was easy to figure but wouldnt it be something if everyone had a love like theirs!

This was one of the best movies in a long time, and I would recommend it highly to anyone who has elderly parents. It's good for everyone, but someone may be in the same situation and this definitely gives a lot of insight into the problem.

Here is his latest work:

AT FIRST SIGHT
(Available OCT 18, 2005) There are a few things Jeremy Marsh was sure he'd never do: he'd never leave New York City; never give his heart away again after barely surviving one failed marriage; and most of all, never become a parent. Now, Jeremy is living in the tiny town of Boone Creek, North Carolina, married to Lexie Darnell, the love of his life, and anticipating the birth of their daughter. But just as his life seems to be settling into a blissful pattern, an unsettling and mysterious message re-opens old wounds and sets off a chain of events that will forever change the course of this young couple's marriage.

This new book comes out on my anniversary. I might ask for this as an anniversary gift.

Looks like I'll be starting from the bottom up with his stuff. I've also been told to watch the "Message in the Bottle" and "A Walk to Remember". Has anyone seen either of these? Im going to look for the audio books at the library too. Thanks for that great idea!

PS.... My DH cried too.
